Re: Offaly Hurling 2020
Ide say Castlecomer is more than 40 miles from Tullamore, without even going into aa route planner Ide say 60 miles would ball park...RTE commentators are as bad, a few years ago Longford and Carlow was called a midlands derby on Sunday Sport on RTE radio 1....but if you listen to most of these pres...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2020
local derby as in inter county, but not a local derby between 2 clubs 40 mile apart, not even one each side of the border say like Meelick Eyre court in Galway and St. Rynaghs for example or Birr V Lorrha say in hurling would be a local derby distance wise...40 miles is pushing it a bit calling it a...

Re: Club Managements
interesting appointments, in Belmont and Birr, Birr in particular will feel they have the talent (outsiders have quesitoned this over the last few years I know) but they are still always there or there abouts come the last 2/4 each year...Bugler is abit like Michael Fennelly taking over Offaly exper...

Re: Club Managements
a cop or two on the Belmont squad probably opened up the door for Baker as he is guard in Tullamore, interesting to see how he does with Belmont, they have gone back a little on the form which almost got them over the line the last few years, be it this years championship was stop/start etc..problem...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2020

Re: Offaly Hurling 2020
Offaly and Westmeath playing a Leinster MHC semi final in Mullingar. Closest Midlands Radio 3 are to covering it is playing the song Teenage Dirtbag on the radio. No joke. Poor. I noticed this in recent times (probably from lock down and trying to clutch onto something live going on around the plac...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2020
very quiet on here after the U20s loosing..many were thinking Offaly would win with Dublin without some key dual players, anyone at the game..0-16 is really not going to win you a game now adays, maybe for the time of year its a decent enough score (not mighty though now really is it?)...goals win g...

Re: Management committee
it was on the Midland Tribune that some of the committee were apparently canvassing for other candidates/asking people not to vote (same difference as they say) for Pat Horan, I think its not good to be saying it was Michael Duignan himself, which is unfair as surely of all people he would be clever...

Re: Should we stick with Michael Fennelly now?
I cannot see our chats here being on the table at a county board meeting discussing the future of Offlay hurling/manager...looking at replies so far the main view is he stays and I would hesitantly go with that right now..hopefully we will be winning whatever cup it is we are in next year and step o...

Should we stick with Michael Fennelly now?
not related I know, but with Eddie Brennan gone in Laois, should Offaly stick with Michael Fennelly and current set up?..I know it has been covered here in under other topics/headings but just said I would give the matter its own space here..I think we possibly should, will we be any further on in a...

Re: DIV 3 NFL predictions and general chit chat.
all the more reason to put a bit of real emphasis on the league now, Dublin are doing to Leinster football what Kilkenny have done to hurling, all very well sayingyou cannot blam them, they have set a standard etc. etc., the problem is, in particular to Dublin, they have the big name sponsors and st...

Re: Severe lack of Offaly O’Neills Gear on website
I have noticed long before the post was raised here the lack of gear on the shop online.no doubt even though it is O'Neills gear, they (O'Neills) probably charge the county board for the online shop facility and no doubt being Offaly the charge is deemed too high or something by the CB...probably no...
