Re: Meeting In Tullamore
Eh No lads, all ye have "organized" are a few sneery comments on a keyboard. This group that have gotten together, probably could have gone about their business slightly differently alright. But they did have a meeting and they did invite a wide circle of people. They havn't , according to...

Re: Next Offaly Senior Hurling Manager
It is an interesting appointment and I hope he gets the support required from the hurling fraternity. There is also a pat on the back due to the County Board, who have tried to go after strong candidates. I really hope that the best players commit and give all now to help develop Offaly hurling to g...

Re: Next Offaly Senior Hurling Manager
Off topic alright.
But I would hope that hurlers get right appointment because some of the abuse is stemming from non performance on field and frustration...no excuse I know, but this is what happens in many of the weaker counties.

"They and their coaches, nutritionists, psychologists etc. etc. etc. have destroyed the organisation. The GAA has become little more than a very financially rewarding playground for spoofers and charlatans." Fair dues Bracknaghboy, dead right in ...safe to say 60% of cases in Club scene. I...

Shocking performance by Ferbane, they are not in a good place by the looks of things.
Clara might have a pep in their step this year alright.

Re: Shane Lowry - Official topic
Fantastic, the man has done no end of good for himself, family, community, county, country and his sport! I have never seen a more popular winner of a sporting occasion I think than him. I remember Barry McGuigans wins being emotional at the time given the terrible violence in the background but thi...

Re: Is there a future for small rural clubs?
Out from behind the keyboards lads!! Lot of small clubs in GAA only jogging along and lads with ambition are being held back. Should be Parish teams , end of and that would be a suitable compromise to keep some of these rural clubs going, with players who want to train and play at a higher level get...

Re: Offaly U20s Football
Well said Jimbob. Of course you are right. But your point comes back to “if only”. My point is that these 2 u20 teams were as well prepared as other teams, fact. Did they perform to their best v Meath,?, no. Could they have won the game , ? Yes. Why they underperformed is a question, but they are go...

Re: Offaly U20s Football
It was Cathal Donaghue who made the run and had a decent game and a fine year. Struggled against Meath at midfield , and Meaths height in the forward line had us under pressure also. Lot of players will be disappointed with their performances but couldn't fault the effort. Our 3 teams have only been...

Re: Offaly v Sligo Round 2 Qualifier
Cathal Mangan, he put in a good shift, and he is improving game by game. I think we played decent and got some great team scores But defensively we allowed Sligo up the field very easily, we are marking space and Sligo could have scored 2 goals, with 15pts being a decent tally. However, really in bon...
