Kildare's carry on is starting to piss me off.
Why don't they just come out and say that they want a replay or a bye?

31 May 2006 Offaly are ‘in the clear’ By Brendan O’Brien and Darragh O’Conchuir THE Offaly sub controversy may have stumped some of the GAA’s best brains up until now, but barrister Aaron Shearer is adamant that Offaly are ‘in the clear’. Shearer played corner-forward on the Na Fianna team ordered t...

Looks like the tide is turning in Offaly's favour. I'm not sure if anyone, apart from a small few extremists in Kidlare want to see the result overturned. ================================================ If Offaly lose out it would be ultimate sporting travesty Wednesday May 31st 2006 IT may sound c...

I was surprised at Divilly, I never copped he was a dirty piece of work when he was with Galway. He had just gotten booked seconds before that clip for horsing the Offaly forwards out of it. He goes straight back over and starts doing the exact same, as you can see in the clip. All through the match...

Hopefully Central Council will realise it was a paperwork mistake. The net effect was that Offaly made 5 subs and a blood sub, entirely within the rules. Unfortunately the paperwork differed from this slightly. But we didn't get any extra benefit from it. It would be a hugely embarrassing to start g...

I would have no interest in getting a team that beat you on merit thrown out on a technicality. Most reasonable Kildare fans I've spoken to have no interest in having a replay and losing again to Offaly. I'd say a lot of Kildare fans wouldn't even attend the farce of a rematch. In 2004 I had no inte...

Great spirit from Offaly. You have to admire the battling qualities of this team. Even with a patched up team and down to 14 men, we still came good. The confidence of the young players in most pleasing. McConway on his debut looked at ease in Croke Park. Deehan stuck away his chance well. Great com...

There can sometimes be a bit of aggro between Offaly and Kildare. On the Hill there was plenty of banter, and a bit of winding up. I saw one incident where the guards and stewards seem to sorting out an incident after Offaly's third goal. There was a pocket of Kildare fans near us who were drinking ...

Best Croke Park match day pubs
Which pubs do you prefer or hang out in on match days? I'd definitely be a WJ Kavanagh's man. It seems to get a big North/West Offaly crowd. Doon and Clara for definite. I wouldn't be certain about what other towns or clubs would be well represented there. Bermingham's across the road used to be tol...

I think we are stuck for a wing forward. John Reynolds doesn't really have the physical attributes to play in this position. I think he is unlucky in that we have plenty of scoring corner forwards. Is Leonard Mooney still on the panel? I didn't see his name listed on the subs for the Westmeath match...
