Re: The issue of letting the game flow

Not the First Time for this ref to be harsh on one team for steps and allow the other get away with illegal physical contact. Hope the young player who was seriously injured will gain a full recovery and that he will continue to hurl after this unforgivable incident. Therein lies the major problem ...

Re: Offaly v Kerry Minors

The rate of players going on to play Senior with the county on both teams, is about the same. Roughly 7 from each. the difference not being the quantity of players that were able to make it through, more so the quality of said players. Who are the 7? I can only count 5 that did? Very interesting th...

Re: Clara v Durrow Junior B football S/F shambles

Lets keep a bit of perspective here - if it is the case that Tommy Anderson 100% made an error and that Clara won by one (and the balance of probability would suggest that this is the case) then of course it's really harsh on those Clara players, but it's no harsher than any other critical refereei...

Re: Clara v Durrow Junior B football S/F shambles

With the two point swing, it was most likely the ref just noted the score on the wrong side of the page. Its easy enough happen I suppose. Unfortunate it was an important game. Happened in a league match I played in before. Both sides knew who really won but the ref gave it to our opponents, didnt r...

http://hoganstand.com/Offaly/ArticleForm.aspx?ID=221122 Jesus. Disappointment comment from the County Board chairman. Blaming the players. the only thing in the county that we can't change is the players, Pissing them off is only shooting yourself in the foot. But not surprising that this Chairman ...

We are not effing Dublin and never will be. Why don't we compare ourselves to something realistic and attainable. It's all but professional but in name? Then why are we bothering our holes talking about it? If we don't have the money and never will have the money (or population) to run things the s...

Fcuk providing me or anyone here with a proposal, why not forward it in an open letter to the CB, the local newspapers, your club chairman and ask them to review it! Pitches and gyms are smokescreens, yes a central point would be great but that's in the nice to have rather than essential at this stage. Hang on a second here. Sportsgear, Equipment, Gym and Laundry was 123,575 Euro in 2013 according to the annual report. Its not known how this breakdown is betwee...

Re: Offaly GAA is in Some State

The whole area of volunteerism is something that needs to be addressed around the county. But in order for people to give up their time there needs to be a structure in place. I would like to make people aware that there is currently ongoing, an u13 academy giving 8 weeks training, in hurling and f...
