Re: Un Cambio Es Bueno
Offalys Future -As I said there was a Strategic Plan brought in and to clarify, it is still in place but unfortunately gathering dust (which is my point all along). I didn’t tell you the GAA carried out a review at the end of 2012. The review was carried out by the Offaly county board following on f...

Re: Un Cambio Es Bueno
You said you were not aware of any plans in the last 10 years. I've informed you that there were a number of major reviews and gave you a recent example. Any one of the single major reviews in that period would have covered most of your very repetitive list. And yes there was an Offaly Strategic Pla...

Re: Un Cambio Es Bueno
The county chairman/secretary announces that they have met with and offered the admin role to a highly skilled person who will do it for free. I think you are the one that needs to read your post clearly. I'll accept that you didn't mean what you wrote at the start as it did all seem a bit dreamy (...

Re: Un Cambio Es Bueno
Offalys future - It would require more than a magic wand to give the Chairman or Secretary the powers to offer any position to anyone which is why even the likes of Team Management Proposals have to be put to the floor before ratification. Again, a little reminder, that the management committee is o...

Re: Un Cambio Es Bueno
POTH - By heading for a debate on the nutritional value of a sausage would suggest alone that things are not as bad structurally as people are made to believe.
Of course things can be done better but people need to divert their energies through the right channels and stop looking for a magic wand.

Re: Un Cambio Es Bueno
I thought you had accepted the reason for the 'anonymous' team list as not being the fault of those involved? And if only our problems would be solved by giving a 13 year old a handful of nuts instead of a sausage. If they are two of your major bug bears then things are better than I thought they we...

Re: Un Cambio Es Bueno
POTH – It reads like you want a meeting where new people turn up and only say things that you want to hear. Anyway, it may seem like a good idea on the surface to some but I think it is just a fanciful notion that all these new people that somehow didn’t have a voice until now turn up and enlighten ...

Re: Un Cambio Es Bueno
Offaly's Future - Now is the time to get some external help to recruit some really good people that exist in Offaly and allow these people the opportunity to change our hurling fortunes. When you say 'allow', you would think that people are queuing up but being prevented from getting in. Simply not...

Re: Respect
With respect to anonymity I want to clarify the following - For those that think they might now know me, I was not the one holding the ' Breaking News - Sky the Home of Sports, Birr the Home of Offaly Hurling ' banner in the terrace last Saturday. To the lads that were holding it - great effort but ...

Re: Strength And Conditioning
Ger Loughnane's article is just lazy tabloid thrash journalism at its finest. He talks about Joe Bergin not being able to win a ball off Cillian Buckley. Utter nonsense. When I read it I thought he must have been watching a different game than me so I looked back at it last night. 16 balls dropped b...

Re: OFFALY Hurling 2014
He has to change his game plan. If for none of the other 20 reasons that are against it he should at least change the plan to bring a fresh approach. Changing it is not a problem as he would just be reverting to the basic system that they are all fully familiar with. If he wants to use the extra bac...

Re: Offaly v Kilkenny
In fairness to the Limerick players they were talking themselves up to anyone who would listen in recent weeks and they had been written off in the media. - ' O'Grady departed last Sunday and, however hard everyone works at repairing the damage before the championship, it's likely that this season i...

Re: Offaly v Kilkenny
Alethimoutwithit - Martin Breheny cannot deny that both himself and the media in general were writing off Limerick's chances this season after the departure of Donal O'Grady. He is also around long enough to know that a team will latch onto that negativity and turn it into a positive. It is only nat...

Re: Hurling to return to St Brendan's Park
Dried in divots? That's the drainage issue resolved then (sounds like it dried a little bit too quickly if anything).
At most I guess a little bit better groundsmanship and it's sorted?

Re: Offaly Minor hurling 2014
It was a good game between two well prepared teams. I thought it was a very decent performance by Offaly with Laois just being that bit stronger in more positions.
Well done to all involved.
(KC - you are wrong again about something you think is 'obvious')
