Re: Offaly minor Hurlers 2013

yeah, Kiely has everything the only thing he really needs to remember is the discipline. Other than the fact he is so young and you don't want to burn him out, I can see him walking onto the All-Ireland finalists starting 15 when the time is right. i have seen him a few time in the last few years a...

Re: Under 21 hurling championship 2013

I was also at the Tullamore-Rynaghs game and as Tullamore supporter have read joe bloggs posting and have to agree with everything he said. Tullamore should not wait to see what the goalie get, can they ban him straight away. It was off the ball and i miss what starter it but as i looked down at the...

Re: new football manager

I know this is going to be controversial but maybe the county board think none of the names put forward so far are the right men.Tom Coffey seems to be the most popular name but maybe he is not the right man for the job i am hearing about how well he is doing with this rhode team, but anyone and eve...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurling Club Championship 2011

Maybe not a great final but do Coolderry care. Coolderry should have gone in a half time a few goals better off, Eoin Ryan was on fire in first half. Cant understand why JP O Meara was taken off was it not Verney getting the roasting by Ryan in the other corner.Well done to Kevin Connolly brave man ...

Re: Best G.A.A aftermatch pub in the county

When hurling with Tullamore (20 years ago) all our games were in south offaly the cars would automatically slow down and stop at the blueball could never pass it. Digans is the GAA pub in Tullamore but closing soon,Eugens and Nanny Kellys (best pint in town) good GAA pubs also. The Tap seems to get ...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurling Management 2012

What management has Ollie Baker on his CV? I don't want to dismiss the man out of hand, but there is a danger of going from just picking former Offaly hurlers because they have medals, to picking a former Clare hurler because he has medals. Has he done anything at club, underage or ideally Fitzgibb...

Re: Darragh O Sé linked to the Offaly job

Just did an AA Route Planner on Dingle to Tullamore. 530km round trip, 4 hours each way. Is Dara thinking of buying a house up here? why would he buy a house in offaly when a top manger is getting 4 euro a mile, its 335miles @ 4euro =1340 three times a week 4000euro a week so why buy a house here c...

Re: Intercounty Showponies

lads did we get carried away with our selfs after monaghan. I taught that people were blowing that performance up to much and i said it on this site after. The fact is monaghan were so bad on the day. We forgot what wexford had done to us and now limerick have done the same to us again.
