Re: Living in Dublin and want to hurl in 2013?
Oh yeah I remember you saying you used to hurl with them. We've played them a few times now, sound bunch of lads in fairness. If I hear of anyone living in that neck of the woods I send them to their website. For anyone out in Terenure area though it's easier to train in Bushy Park. In terms of ...

Living in Dublin and want to hurl in 2013?
Hi all,

Re: Réalt Dearg urgently needs goalie
Time and a half is the best we could do on Sundays, maybe stretch it to double time for bank holidays :P When was the last time a new club was set up in Offaly? From Kilkenny myself originally and can't help but think the city could do with a Junior club to help stop lads walking away when they can ...

Re: Réalt Dearg urgently needs goalie
I know what you mean but you have to try. We could live without a sub goalie for the 1st team obviously but it's tough expecting an outfielder to play on goal with the B's. I think you'll agree that's a more high pressure positional change than a back playing as a forward! Either situation is not ...

Réalt Dearg urgently needs goalie
Hi all,
Réalt Dearg hurling club in Terenure in Dublin is desperately stuck for a goalie if any of you are living in Dublin and have been away from the game for any length of time. We're currently playing an outfielder on goal for our second team and have no sub goalie for our 1st team. This is ...

Réalt Dearg, hurling in 2012
Hi all,
Thanks to our fantastic PRO I'd say a considerable number of you have heard the name Réalt Dearg in the last two years. We've made really good progress over that time and now have two adult hurling teams in the cup, league and championship and one team in the Leinster League also. This year ...

Réalt Dearg looking for new players/selectors/managers.
Hey,
Firstly thanks for all the support and good wishes throughout the year!
The B team recently lost their championship quarter final, massive progress when you consider they had to start a new panel this year and gave 6 players their first taste of league and championship hurling ever!

Re: Réalt Dearg looking for new players/selectors/managers.
Réalt Dearg have made great progress this year. Our efforts earlier in the year to get more people back hurling were successful and we built up both panels to the stage where we have managed to get both teams into championship quarterfinals and the A team also challenging for the league title. I can ...

Manfromdelmonte. We're playing Civil Service in the league this evening at 7.30 in Islandbridge if you're interested in having a look at your old team in action against us!

Re: Réalt Dearg looking for new players/selectors/managers.
I think we played Civil Service at some stage last year alright. Would be a good club for a lad to join if living in that part of the city as we are a bit further out.

Re: Réalt Dearg looking for new players/selectors/managers.
fair play to ye
but if ye cannot cater for more players (teams and facilities), it might be better to go with what ye have for 2011
Thanks manfromdelmonte. We're not having any problem catering for the numbers yet anyway so the more the merrier. What with injuries, work commitments and holidays ...

Re: Réalt Dearg looking for new players/selectors/managers.
Hi, just to bump this up again as we have been getting a fantastic response still from publicity on forums. We have been getting a steady stream of 1-2 new players per week since the initial surge in early Spring. Amazing progress and possibly unique in the GAA at the moment? If any of you are ...

Re: Réalt Dearg fundraising Poker Night
Thanks to all who came down to Vaughan's to support us. It was a great night and the players overseeing the poker did a great job once again. Great way to increase awareness about the club in the area as often in Dublin there isn't the same community atmosphere so word doesn't spread as fast! As ...
