Re: offaly senior football team 2012

Just a few other points. I dont see anything in Guilfoyle. Unquestionably he has great speed because of his long stride. But the man is not a good footballer. He has been very bad in club games even. On his county performances so far he has been the reason for more scores against his team than alot...

Re: offaly senior football team 2012

Faithfullad, your contribution to this thread so far has been to shoot two different people down over their selections and criticise Offaly footballers. How about offering some alternatives if these lads aren't up to the job. Personally, I think Stephen Deehan should get a call up to the panel. He w...

Out of interest, how many of the lads involved in these wins are from Ferbane and how many will be plying their trade with their own clubs come senior level?

Re: Clara vs Edenderry 9/10/11

Did anyone notice that in the semi finals Edenderry players and Clara players made a habit of kicking the ball over the bar in an attepmt to beat the opposition, this tactic will probably be used next Sunday as well.

Re: Cowen and Offaly GAA

Perhaps the Shark could check it out, only quickly. The houses together with the trees are on the left hand side approx 30 to 40 meters from the main T junction in the middle of town as you drive in from the direction of Ballycumber. If the trees are not to be seen, maybe the Shark could make local...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Club Championship 2011

i am not running down Rhode or Clara who are find football clubs what i'am saying maybe the likes of Edenderry or Walsh Island, gracefield, winning the county title might bring something knew to the county scene which is offen the case with new winners. as for the county subject i'd say if Rhode or...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Club Championship 2011

i actually think its good for offaly football that Edenderry and Gracefield are playing a semil final and with Walsh Island back senior and doing well these were the hotbeds of offaly football when we were winning going back to the 60's 70's 80's. as for Rhode what did offaly win when they were win...

Re: Aussie Rules Recruitment

To be fair lads, the lad is only young! Plenty of time for him to bulk up and who better to aid his development only the Aussies. Guilfoyle has bags of pace and is an excellent fielder of the ball and those are two huge assets in the Australian game. He is by no means the complete footballer but wit...
