Re: Offaly v Wexford - NHL 27/03/2011

Discipline is now a major problem with this team. Three sent off in five matches in this NHL campaign. Three sent off in the Championship last year – another lucky not to be, though he got what was coming in a later game. Most have been for mistimed or poorly judged challenges. Tackling needs to be...

Re: NHL Round 3 Offaly V Dublin 06/03/2011

Lads I know we've a lot injured and it's early in the year and all that but this situation is still pretty dire for Offaly in my opinion. Firstly, I'm really beginning to worry about Joe Dooley and the selection committee in general. Even with the amount we've out injured starting Rory Hanniffy wing...

Re: offaly vs galway

For some reason Shane was off his game yesterday, his touch was poor and he fumbled alot of ball. He hasn’t become a bad hurler though, and I’m sure he’ll be back in form the next day . Not making excuses etc, etc, but Shane Dooley had a very bad flu last week. Simple as that. With the way some lad...

Re: OFFALY V CAVAN 06/02/2011

A very good start for Offaly in my opinion. It's been a while since we came away from OCP with a comfortable victory so this victory shouldn't be sniffed at, especially against Cavan, who mightn't be at their best now but are still a proud footballing county. For Offaly Mulhall was soild in the goal...

Moloney has been on the bench for the past 2 games and hasn't got a run.

Re: O'Byrne Cup 2011

Jaysus, you really would wonder where they get some of these lads. I'd consider myself up to date with all senior, intermediate and junior teams in the county and who the better players are on these teams yet they still manage to put lads on the team that no-one seems to have heard of. I know people...

Offaly Hurling

Offaly Senior Hurlers start a new season this weekend against NUIG in Tullamore. Joe Dooley, given another year in charge, has made efforts to improve the set up by bringing in a new trainer Francis Forde and this is a welcome addition, as was Joe Quinn's last year. Quinn, with his expert knowledge ...
