Re: Offaly vs Westmeath 2011 Leinster U21 football championship

@Sharp Eye, No good ball winners? Seriously? Are you ignoring Bernard Allen, the best ball winner in the county. Sometimes I wonder if people actually watch the games at all or just judge by a players size. Offaly Under 21 team announced. THE Offaly Under 21 team to face Westmeath on Wednesday eveni...

Re: Limerick vs Offaly

Were any of you thicks that's critisising John Reynolds actually in Newcastlewest on Sunday? NO, didn't think so, LS you are worse to be even getting involved in a discussion with these people, they sit at home on their backsides instead of going to support their county and yet they seem to know it...

Re: Limerick vs Offaly

Did I criticize Reynolds performance on Sunday? No I didn't you pair of bloody clowns(basilbrush and firsttouch)I actually praised it, which you could see if you could bloody read. I gave an observation on his performance for Offaly over the past few years that he's been on the panel(Because BB seem...

Re: Limerick vs Offaly

Yes Long john we all know your thoughts on Reynolds from previous posts you made it very clear.I seem to recall you think hes a coward as well as very greedy. Good man. Limerick artnt that bad a team didnt they push kerry all the way in the munster final last year.Reynolds scored 1.3 from play and ...

Re: Limerick vs Offaly

The fact that Reynolds loves taking shots from impossible angles instead of passing to the man in the the better position is what angers most people but he did well yesterday. When the U-21s return from their rest, He might be edged out though. I believe Bernard Allen is a far superior player.

Dooley faces 4 week ban

Shane Dooley was shown a straight red card in the Fitzgibbon Cup today, meaning he will probably miss Offaly's games against Dublin and Tipperary.

Re: Offaly vs Wexford

John, up until last year I'd have said you were correct, however I don't think that's a fair criticism based on Sunday. Sean Pender is turning into a fine man marker, Scott Brady is doing his job well and while Brian Darby can get into foul trouble a bit, he generally doesn't get cleaned. Through i...

Offaly vs Wexford

So, a disappointing display with a decent second half revival. Joe Quinn, John Coughlan, David Egan are miles off the standard. Offaly are better off without Deehan, he only got in Panda's way. What do ye think lads?

Re: OFFALY V CAVAN 06/02/2011

Id have to say I think its a very weak team. Pender, Dalton, Bernard Allen are not good enough for this level . They will do ok at club level but ive seen Pender get roasted in a few club games, Allen marked out of it by any of the top teams they played and Dalton for me just hasnt the ability. Sul...

Re: O'Byrne Cup 2011

The main problem on Saturday was that in the first half, Offaly had no real way to get the ball from about their 45 into the forward line. Mainly because a lot of players weren't sharp enough. There were too many square passes to static players, intercepted passes and hospital passes. There was not...

Re: O'Byrne Cup 2011

My main problem with Cribben is that he just looks at the game cluelessly and doesn't do anything. Ross Brady at wing back, where he has never played? Ya might as well be putting a Junior player in at wing back. He also gave a glowing summary of Scott Brady after the game, even though a blind man co...

Re: O'Byrne Cup 2011

Jaysus, you really would wonder where they get some of these lads. I'd consider myself up to date with all senior, intermediate and junior teams in the county and who the better players are on these teams yet they still manage to put lads on the team that no-one seems to have heard of. I know peopl...

Re: Offaly senior football in general

Lets be honest here, Offaly football will never progress until we get a manager who is not afraid to stop judging players by reputation and get them out. I mean, how long are we going to look at these mediocre players who have eased into their comfort zone on the panel, safe in the knowledge they wo...

Re: International rules

Most of the Irish players were absolutely terrified of being tackled, thats why we saw lots of flicks with the hand and balls kicked along the ground(3 in a row at one point) instead of going down on the ball. When Brogan actually ran at the Aussies, they weren't too great.
