Re: Offaly .v. Galway - LSHC Semi Final Replay - 26/06/2010

Paddy Power have Offaly priced at 7to1 for this. Understandable that Galway remain favourites with the bookies, but 7to1 Offaly is worth a small punt in my opinion.

C'mon the Faithful.

Re: Leinster Senior Hurling Offaly V Galway

Just seen on Leinster GAA site replay is next Saturday night in Portlaoise at 7. Bad news for the footballers, surely everyone will head to OMP instead of OCP to watch the hurlers. Good. Although the throw in is a bit late, match in Portlaoise should mean a better atmosphere. Clearly Galway weren't ...

Re: Leinster Senior Hurling Offaly V Galway

Great result. Sending off of Dan Currams was ridiculous, a yellow card offense at worst. Offaly may have won but for the sending off and the lads dug deep to get a draw there. Hopefully the replay will be in Portlaoise with a bigger crowd in attendance and better atmosphere.

Re: LSHC 30th May Offaly v Antrim Parnell Park 3:30pm

Before this tit-for-tat nonsense goes any further; take it off to Hogansty or somewhere . . . ye know where it is. Tip-for-tat is more appropriate I reckon. I overheard a conversation between two Tip hurling fans the day before the All-Ireland last year. One said to the other we'll(Tip) have to sto...

Re: Offaly Vs Meath this sunday

[quote="bracknaghboy" There will be no crowd behind Offaly Sunday as I'd expect a small enough faithful following to travel. Westmeath outnumbered us in Tullamore 2 years ago and with this game on TV we'll be outnumbered 3 to 1. Offaly haven't won a championship game since 3 years ago agai...

Re: Offaly Vs Meath this sunday

Roy Malone was on Newstalk there this evening. He came across fairly well, I reckon he has a future in the pundit game. To sum up he said Offaly are up against it, but if they give them a good oul rattle and get the crowd behind them, sure ya never know.......

Keep the faith lads

Good to see Walsh Island back in the reckoning. Is the handball alley still standing there?

Re: Offaly V Waterford 4/4/2010

Good effort from Offaly yesterday. Shane Dooley was good so was Brian Carroll and Hannify in midfeild. They struggled in the half back line and Joe Bergin was poor up front. The pitch was obviously in very bad knick and the ref gave a few hometown decisions near the end to get Waterford over the line.

Re: Offaly vs. Limerick NHL 28/03/2010

Odd carry on down there in Limerick with junior and football dominated clubs voting to keep Justin McCarthy in charge. Was reading on another forum (Boards GAA) a few Limerick hurling fans think this Limerick B team actually have a chance against Offaly on Sunday. Actually feel sorry for Limerick hu...

Re: Offaly All-Ireland winner John Guinan goes on hunger strike

Heard about this from another website. Wish John all the best. Seems like an extreme response to an industrial dispute, but the management at Green Isle haven't covered themselves in glory in this matter. Hope that the dispute can be resolved soon. On a lighter note John Guinan should know that mana...
