Ah the good old days! The late 90's eh? All of the places you mention are some of my regulars on match day. Worth a mention though I think are Berminghams (Dorset St) and of course the "Hogan Stand" (aka Phil Ryans at Gills corner down the North Circular Rd). I think the pubs on the Fairvi...

I think that Tommo did fairly well on Sunday. A goal might've helped the confidence perhaps for the next day but as was said he doesn't tend to drop the head. He had a good game in Tralee in the lge too. I've no doubt that everyone will look to up thier game the next day. Deehan looks like he could ...

I thought Slattery showed himself to be a good captain and one of our best players yesterday, he covered some amount of ground. McManus was clearly carrying an injury in the second half but did enough and scoring some of those long range frees in Croke Park was good to see. The backs did well, but t...

I agree with some of that Biff. Its probably a sense of fear of losing the derby game that is the main feeling in Offaly (and possibly Wastemeath too) at the moment. I hope the players are more confident than that though. They deserve a good win at this stage, too many close defeats in recent years....

The games used to be available on the net through Setanta alright (if they're live on RTE, check thier schedule on the website). I remember sitting in an internet cafe in Poland when I was travelling in 2001 with my Tipp friend watching the Offaly Tipp match that year, (he was the happier man after ...

Kevin,
Where are you trying to listen in from? What country?
You could try http://www.midlandsradio.fm they might have a live feed. If you're in the UK or Europe you can get RTE Radio One on the Sky digital platform.

It could be a case of we'll score more than ye game. If N. Coughlan and Slattery start running forward at pace it could open up the game. Again Niall Mc is key in my opinion, if he plays well then we're in with a great chance. I agree with the opinion on Reynolds, but I, although he is not a grafter...

Yes I think we've enough to win this game. Mc would be a big loss though and as I said in the other thread I wouldn't be surprised if he played regardless of injury. (Or maybe they'll start him to see how he goes, easlier to take off an injured player than put him on). Whether he'll be fit enough to...

Any truth in the rumour that McManus strained his ankle against Clare in a challenge earlier in the week?
It sounds like a recurrance of the ankle injury that he picked up during the league in Tullamore (Cork match maybe??). Lets hope it won't hinder him Sunday week.

I put a few bob on Offaly to win the LHC @ 12/1 before the Tipp game, sure you'd never know!
Any other interesting bets out there, odds to reach semi's etc?

I would've assumed that a ban for a manager meant a sideline ban, that he would have to watch the match from the stands. I didn't think it affected taking training session and role as manager outside the match day ban.
