DRA?

So when will the DRA sit to consider this? And will Kildare finally stop at that? Article below taken from RTE.ie Kildare to take subs dispute to DRA Thursday, 08 June 2006 9:27 The blood substitution and subsequent re-introduction of Offaly's Pascal Kelleghan is at the centre of Kildare's objection...

I think bringing them in as long as its a happy camp is a good thing. It'll certainly keep Wexford second guessing who'll start and IF we progress to meet Dublin/Laois it will be good to have the extra options on the bench especially in the backs where there isn't the same depth as the forwards.

Mighn't be too bad LS, the hill is in sections now isn't it?

They'll probably give the smallest section (nally terrace is it?) to the Offaly supporters, thats if they'll make any terrace tickets available for Offaly at all.

Its probably a time of the year thing with the flights, summers always more expensive. Hopefully our support will come out in big numbers, no doubt the Dubs and Ls support will root for the yella bellies in our game (I presume Offaly will be the curtain raiser). Was the Offaly game supposed to be on...

OY vs WX, LS vs Dub

It seems we're all set now for a double header in Croker on 25th June according to Des Cahill this morning I'm told. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Hopefully all this subs nonsense will be well over by then I suppose it's no help to Wexford either. Tickets will be in short supply with the Dubs...

DRA?

So this dispute looks certain to go to the DRA whatever the Central Council decide, that begs the question, when would the DRA sit to consider this? Is this the "ultimate" court now that Kildare said they'd go to or could it still end up in the high court to the detrement of the Leinster C...

If it can be accepted that PK returning to the field was a blood sub "reversal" then no rule was broken surely? Since he was ordered off by the ref for attention and not subbed off then what alse could he be other than a player returning to the field and thereby ending the blood sub? It se...

I agree, it seems to be a grey area. But like LS says maybe a fine would be the best result and then that would close the door for appeal. If we had players on the field who, under the rules that exist, could not have been there in the order that they were, for example if there was a clear extra sub...

I hope so LS. We should be fined for presenting PK for return to the field incorrectly. Like I keep on saying to people; Offaly did not at ANY stage have a player on the field that couldn't have legitimately been there and surely that counts for something. The reference to other cases by the media a...

I would also add to that by pointing out that the changes that resulted on the field could have been possible legally, at the end of the day it didn't matter to the lads on the field what colour the slip of paper was or what was written on it. If a mistake has been made here then its a clerical erro...

Wow, what a well taken penalty.
Kildare tried everything in the book to put him off. He had to wait several minutes to take it as a result but still stuck it away. Fantastic to see.

I've been on the gaaboard venting my feelings on this too (as Whiteboots). I hope you're right Turk, the possibility of a quick replay has been missed if it was to happen. Throwing Offaly out would mean a bye for Wexford and nobody would like to see that happen either (not least Wexford I'd imagine)...

It would be a disgrace if this were to end in tears for us! God knows we've had our fair share of being shafted with things like this. If the 4th official had all the relevant information and aid it was ok then this should've been put to bed last night once and for all. I'm worried that there seems ...

I'd second that, for god sake they were given every chance to win it. A man up for most of the second half and a referee who was lashing out yellow cards for fun. I personally didn't like the way that Kildare played the game, very cynical, pulling and dragging, lying down for frees etc. pulling McMa...

Well done!

Congrats to the lads. A huge effort by all. Wen they went a man down a bit like the last day everybody upped their work rate. I thought Slattery was particularly good and has proved himself again to be a great captain. Neville Coughlan deserves a mention too, he coverd a lot of ground and when he ma...
