Re: offaly senior football team 2012

(1) Kevin Meehan ( Clara ) - Best Shot stopper in Offaly and Very accurate from Kick-outs. (2) Sean Pender ( edenderry ) - Best man marker in the county (3) Johnny Maloney (Tullamore) - Physically strong and mobile and having been captain at underage suggested he has leadership skills to fill this p...

Re: Clara vs Edenderry 9/10/11

I know this is slightly off topic but did anyone notice in the semi final that every time there was a free or kick out a Clara player went to ground and held up play till the rest got into their positions, this tactic will probably be used next Sunday as well. Did anyone notice in the semi final th...

Re: Clara vs Edenderry 9/10/11

By matter of interest Long John would you be willing to admit that John Reynolds has been Clara's stand out performer this year and if Clara are able to get over the line Sunday will almost certainly be named player of the year. Id imagine on the Edenderry side that Sean Pender is the main candidate...

Re: Limerick 1-12 Offaly 2-10 NFL 27/02/2011

With regards John Reynolds not making the Athlone team im led to believe he had not been with panal for the year as he had not been enrolled in the college for the first semester and had only attended one training session prior to the Carlow match, a match in which he came on at half time and kicked...

Re: Rhode vs Clara Offaly SFC Final 2010

Just to add to the debate i think the referee could be crucial in this game and I think the fact that Damian Brazil got the gig is great news. He is one of the better referees and the occasion wont get to him ,unlike Cusack who had a poor day at the office in the same fixture last year.

Re: County senior football championship

It was a bad mistake by Dunne ,but he is still a young player playing his first year senior and apart from the mistake i thought he had a pretty good game ! People in this county are far to eager in this county to jump on peoples backs and point the finger , no wonder so many young players dont want...

Re: Offaly v Kilkenny N H L

I know I'm clutching at the shortest straw possible here but with KK not playing last Sunday it might just give us a slight edge in sharpness, in other words the beating might not be as severe as we all believe it will be. It really is the game from hell and I really hope a decent Offaly support tu...

Offaly u21 v Carlow

This game is scheduled for next week I believe They have some quality players in the squad so I would be hopefully that they could get over the challenge of Carlow , Although this is the Carlow team that reached a leinster final at minor level. Significantly though Declan Mcgovern was training that ...
