Hurling league matches.
That all seems relatively feasible. I reckon the shark will have a presence in those games.

The shark
The Shark in either or both of the 3D and flag format should make most matches. Offhand I'm not sure where some of the hurling games are, but within reason I'd say we should make most. Incidentally, looking at the schedule for week 2 of the football, of the teams with floodlights, (Cork, Kerry, Dubl...

Convention
Not that I'll end up at the county board meeting, but for what it's worth ..... CONGRESS MOTIONS 1. We propose that Rule 42 (b) T.O. (1) 2003 be amended to permit the playing of field games in Croke Park, other than those games controlled by the Association. Permission to play these games to be at t...

Rule 42
What it seems to be boiling down to is that I trust Central Council to act in the best interests of the Cumann - and you don't seem to. You are correct in saying that I waver based on how much we get. The money is a huge factor - if we gain substantially while the FAI and IRFU gain somewhat, I do se...

The Tackle
We won't start the soccer vs Gaelic football thing. I wouldn't imagine we have enough webspace to house it. Suffice it to say that they both have very different tackles defined. On a bit more thinking about this, I think one change in the rule could improve matters. The truth of it lately is that a ...

RE:
Mise, I can't help but feeling you're arguing for or against giving Croke Park over for whatever rent is announced, as opposed to for or against rule 42. "the most you can hope for is 500,000 3 to four times a year for the few years that landsdowne is being redeveloped" If that's all they ...

Basking Shark
On reading that, the basking shark seems harmless. Not my type at all. I like the sound of that Megamouth Shark though. http://www.worldshark.com/species/megamouth/megamouth.html Now all I need is another trip to Coppers to meet a mate, probably one of these .... http://www.worldshark.com/species/nu...

The tackle
Can't imagine too many people will disagree with you on this. I'd imagine that as the theory went originally, you were supposed to challenge for the ball when it was being played, i.e. hopped, kicked or toe-tapped. The fair shoulder was the only other option when the ball was being held. However ove...

The All Stars
(Tis the next column I'm putting up - as usual comments welcome....) The All Stars – Text your vote in now ….. The hardened followers have several club matches still to attend, but for most of the GAA followers out there 2004’s business was brought to a close on Saturday night last, as the All Star ...

That is utter madness.
Hardship for hardship's sake. Clearly the way forward. When all these stadia were being "built", safety standards were minimal or non-existant, and fire regulations wouldn't even have been thought of. Most clubs played one game from the GAA's selection only, starting at under 12 level. Pub...
