The more Doon men on the county team, the better!

Damien Hunt is a good option, I do agree with most of the above, but the league is for trying out different players.........the John Kenny experiment hasn't worked, so why not try a few more in that position.........or elsewhere.

Offaly want all experimental rules scrapped at Congress

OFFALY are to propose that the experimental rules which apply in football and hurling this spring be scrapped when they come up for debate at Congress in April. They will submit a motion calling for the restoration of the old rules for this year's championship. Offaly's opposition to the experiments...

I think the rule change is fine for a club with a huge catchment area such as Ferbane, but for smaller clubs like Doon, its a bigger problem, as our senior team does not have much strength in depth, therefore the junior team must be at risk. Also, smaller clubs will not have many quality subs to bri...

Excellent report alright, LS has a way with words, as the ladies of coppers will no doubt testify.

Great show last night......brought back happy memories of glory days past.

It would appear that we were only offended by Bab's "sheep in a heap" statement because we're not a traditional hurling county.............interesting logic.

on mature recollection, I think I do prefer the anthem as is, the 1945 vinyl remix blasted out in o'conner park is top drawer.

Entrance music for Offaly, has to be B-I-F-F-O, to the tune of D-I-S-C-O.........most of us have the big hair and platform shoes (boots) already.

Jump around gets my vote......

If only to see the three tenors/celtic tenors/that other tenor trying to sing it center field.

Now that would be something.

Excellent report! Here's my two cents, albeit a little more general. First off, the sin bin doesn't look like a runner, it was tough to keep account of the numbers on each side. (god knows some officials have it hard enough to spot if there's an extra player on the pitch in the good old days, how wi...

Our beloved neighbours

This goes some way to explaining why Joe Dolan releases an album each year of cover versions and why Ryanair charge for excess baggage....... Leinster "glory" comes at a big cost to Westmeath WESTMEATH spent €451,000 to win their first Leinster football title in 2005, a figure that further...

Vinny Claffey Retires (what, again I hear you cry!)

Officially this time..........the great Marty "hole in the ground" Morrissey presented a this is your life type event in Moate last weekend.....hopefully the video isn't as long as Joe Dooleys.
