Re: Offaly vs Limerick All-Ireland SHC Qualifier Phase 2 10/7/10

Lads if ye are trying to say Joe Bergin is faster than Shane Dooley ye are having a right laugh! If he is the fastest player on the panel why over the last 4-5 years have we never seen him burn a player for speed in any position??!!! He is mobile enough to play full forward or centre forward yes, bu...

Re: Offaly vs Limerick All-Ireland SHC Qualifier Phase 2 10/7/10

Jesus Great Day for the Parish my opinion is as valid as yours. In my opinion based on his performances both for club and county in the number six jersey he has been top notch. He has 8 championship appearences for offaly at No 6 and was one of the highlights for offaly in 05/06. By the way David Ke...

Re: Offaly vs Limerick All-Ireland SHC Qualifier Phase 2 10/7/10

A Win is a win i suppose, First on Cathal Parlon, in fairness he done well when he came in the replay against Galway, he may have made one or two errors but that is the type of player he is, he can do some great things and he can do some bad things. I understand why healion and kealey may feel hard ...

Re: where does offaly hurling stand now?????

what is the future of offaly hurling.... your u-21s got a right hiding from the cats... the cats then got beaten by the dubs by 6 points... are the young faithful players that far down the pecking order... i know your senior players had good result against galway last sun but i think that may be a ...

Re: Offaly .v. Galway - LSHC Semi Final Replay - 26/06/2010

It certainly was a game of two halves, but even 8-9 points down in the first half I was thinking Offaly could still give Galway lots of it. If Shane Dooley had been as good as he was last sunday (a tough ask i know) we would be celebrating a victory. Brian Carroll & Joe Brady were unbelievable t...

Re: Leinster Senior Hurling Offaly V Galway

Just home lads, had a few points on the way home and had a good chat with some kilkenny, dublin and galway supporters, the general consensus was the ref tried to "do" us and failed. There were a number of times where offaly defenders were fouled coming out with the ball which resulted in a...

Re: Leinster Senior Hurling Offaly V Galway

I do think Offaly could win this game, but I dont think they will. I would try and change tactics, if offaly line up normally we will get wiped. I would try the cork tactic,Put Joe Brady full forward, hit high ball in on top of him, have shane dooley as the only other player on the full forward line...

Re: Leinster Senior Hurling Offaly V Galway

While its good to get a run out in Croke Park, I think the vast majority of KK, Galway and Offaly supporters would have preffered it was played in Port Laoise, This stinks of Dublin suiting dublin as they do in the football.....the GAA are just hoping the plastic dublin fans starting packing out cro...

Re: Leinster Senior Hurling Offaly V Galway

There are a number of things wrong with Offaly this year as has been wrong for the last 10 years. We have players on the team that are not willing to die for the jersey...so we are automaticly at a disadvantage, add to that all the players are unfit, lack any confidence and have a management without ...

Re: Leinster U-21 Hurling Championship Kilkenny vs Offaly

This may sound a bit bitter....but can anyone explain to me how there is not one player from Coolderry on the starting 15 even though they are in the U 21 final after drawing with Clareen twice??? Just doesnt make sense that there wouldnt be at least one player worthy of a start. The standard of cl...

Re: Joe's Acknowledgement of other Offaly players!

Kinnity man, i think you said what we were all thinking, In fairness James Rigney got his chance and has taken it with both hands, Young Dempsey looks like a certain starter the next day...when was the last time there were two kinnity hurlers starting for offaly??? Definately 10 maybe 20 years?? So...
