Re: Offaly vs Waterford All-Ireland SFC Qualifier Rd. 2 10/7/10
McConway was not at the races the last day when he came on. Pender really competed well for the ball imo, and made life difficult for his man. McConway has played very little county football since the Leinster final year.

Re: Offaly vs Waterford All-Ireland SFC Qualifier Rd. 2 10/7/10
Fair play Magpie, I would go with your team. I have doubts about Ross but i think Dalton is too slow for intercounty. On the basis of the last day it will be no contest, Pender over Pauric Sullivan. And I hope they do try Sean Ryan at wingback. If the lads have learned anything from the last day the...

Re: Offaly V Westmeath Challenge
I have said this for a while now about Sean Ryan, he has all the attributes to make a good half back. Despite his sixe he has a great spring off the ground and attacks the ball. If its a trademark of Cribbens then it must have been "pending patent" in Offaly!

Re: Offaly vs. Clare Football Qualifier Round 1 26/06/2010
They can pin up the views of anybody in the ground after the first half! Look we hopefully have reached the bottom? I feel sorry for the lads in the sense that many of them are young and only starting out, but let me never have to watch rubbish like that again!

Re: Offaly vs Laois Leinster Minor Football Semi-Final JUNE 30
well done to the lads tonight, great to win these tight games and tey will learn a lot from it.
Kildare will be a seriuos test, but we have 2 more big games to look forward to.
We are in the championship in 3 grades in July, things are looking up!

Re: Offaly .v. Galway - LSHC Semi Final Replay - 26/06/2010
I would agree in general with this analysis. However when you look a little deeper at our performance you can see many reasons to believe we can do even better. Firstly, Stephen Egan played his first game, and grew as the game went on, should be better the next day. Murphy was never in the game. Dyl...

Re: Leinster Senior Hurling Offaly V Galway
"for all ye men who cant make it.. the match is being streamed by rte".. Of which there will be plenty! As a matter of interest how many of the posters here will make the trip to see our hurlers play in Croker for the first time in 5 years? My guess is only bout 10 regular posters will be ...

Meath v Laois in Tullamore
I see the replay is fixed for Saturday evening in Tullamore. Will be a big occasion and should be a full house, will tip in to see it myself. Fancy Laois to come through but should be tight again.

Re: Leinster Senior Hurling Offaly V Galway
Come on lads, Croker is all that counts. Get up there next Sunday and support the team. No more than a 1000 in Parnell. After Sunday we can bitch all we like about the team and management. Hurling is struggling in Offaly, but look what a young Clare team did against Waterford? If our lads let rip th...

Re: Offaly SFC Round 2
No disrespect to Shane and I hope he recovers quickly, but tis the only way he will be off the Offaly team. Seriously overrated footballer, and Cribben will be forced to look at other prospects. Really has not matured over the years, and his lack of pace at Inter county level has cost him in many a ...

Re: Delegate slams 'sub-standard' Offaly football team
Left Foot, I was at the 2 games myself, (should we get an award?). In fairness to the delegates, there must be a level of frustration with our lack of progress on the football & hurling front. We have serious issues which the County Board dont seem to be aware of or willing to face up to. Dont t...

Re: Offaly v Galway Leinster Semi Final On TV?
"At least there would be a chance to see a bit of competitive hurling between ourselves and Galway." Yes and another novel idea for Offaly "fans", maybe some people could travel and watch the game live, who gives a toss about whether its on telly? Get out and support the team ye ...

Re: Leinster U-21 Hurling Championship Kilkenny vs Offaly
Tis a fair point bout Coolderry, they have always done well in recent times at underage and you would expect them to have a couple of players pushing for the u21 team.
And lads the grammer & text speak annoys me too, but ye are going to have to let it go, no right to judge lads here.
