Re: County senior football championship
Why is it all the more reason to Amalgamate because Daingean lost to Clonmore? Think about it, the size of Daingean compared to Clonmore! If Daingean cant win the Junior, what hope have these players of competing in the Senior championship.Ballycommon have been hammered in all their games. Kilclonfe...

Re: Intermediate championship
Clonbullogue beat Kilclonfert by 2 points, 11pts to 1-06. Looks like this group is turning into a real dogfight. Rynaghs play Kilclonfert next Saturday.
Reckon Kilclonfert & Clara will lose out in the group.

Re: Croke Park Presentation
Dont think we'll get caught in the crush for a while anyway lads! Interesting that Cooney so mad to work on this yet downright refused to look at video technology after the dreams of a county were shattered (and Louth's also, as I was referring to Farragher's "point"!!!!!!)

Re: Tom Cribbin
I think its a hard one to call. He seems like a decent bloke, who in fairness had not a lot of time in the first year to get to know the scene. Has has done a lot for the players and I think would be popular amongst them. He would now be in a good position to go and chat guys that he wants in there ...

Re: Offaly vs Tipperary SHC Qualifier Phase 3 17/07/2010
Let him have his moment of glory. Have to say lot of Tipp people around me at the match and they were surprised and a little disappointed at how poor we were as they expected a difficult game. Have found most of them a decent bunch in me time, but would be nearer the Westmeath border meself.

Re: Offaly Senior Hurling Management
I would feel that Joe has taken them as far as he can. We hoped we had turned a corner against Galway, but the doubts really have to be there after a no show. How can ye say the fade outs have stopped? 1 Antrim- we dont set the tempo, fall behind, fightback to lead convincingly (1-08 to no score ove...

Re: Offaly vs Tipperary SHC Qualifier Phase 3 17/07/2010
Disappointed yesterday, we were beaten, outhurled, out fought, everything. Tipp did not have to hurl well to win. Their point taking was good as they were never shooting under any pressure. Our forwards played stupid hurling , even Bergin wo was our best forward was poor. Our teams/and mgt need to s...

Re: Offaly Will play Longford in Minor Final
I know they are young lads but this was a shocking display, and the previous post summed it up, no attacking game plan and move after move broke down. Plus the frees were bottled by captain Noel Graham. No reaction on the line to the growing dominance by Longford. So disgusted I left Croker at the e...

Re: Offaly vs Waterford All-Ireland SFC Qualifier Rd. 2 10/7/10
Well done to the lads, difficult conditions against a physical Waterford team. But jayz lads what is the story with the frees. Casey now has the bug, missed a sitter from the left by a long way, then they drag Darby up from wing back to kick another sitter wide from the right? Let Ross Brady stick w...

Re: Offaly vs Limerick All-Ireland SHC Qualifier Phase 2 10/7/10
Well done lads, 1 point win would have done on evening like that. First of all well done to Parlon, worked hard when others were not interested and 5 points was an excellent return. Shane Dooley for one was awful. But no harm, will have brought all back down to earth. Also Rory Hanniffy was excellen...

Hope Ward aint too sick, but in fairness, theres always something with that chap!
Man behind the wire normally sits on the fence, but he is harder on this team and management because of the situation with his old buddy from the '82 brigade.

Re: Offaly vs Waterford All-Ireland SFC Qualifier Rd. 2 10/7/10
Correct, he covered every blade of grass, chasing the Clare Centre back! who cleared the ball and was confident to go for a gallop up the field. Shaper's problem was that he didnt get on the ball at all for the majority of the game. I would never question his work rate, and would not describe him as...

Re: Offaly vs Waterford All-Ireland SFC Qualifier Rd. 2 10/7/10
AM surprised at him going with Dalton. But again he is at an age where he needs games and encouragement and this game (if he is going to make it should suit him). Waterford are physical and may not be blessed with great pace. Surprised he dropped Shaper. He has had a good year, but despite what some...
