Re: New Jerseys Please - A call to all Fans
I think it's actually not that bad at all. After all, the red bit was out of their hands - as I said before, the sponsors insisted, and to take any chances with sponsors in this environment would be madness. OY13 compared us to Tyrone a while back, but I did hear the numbers regarding the upcoming ...

Re: The Offaly 1988 All-Ireland U-21 Winning Team
it just dawned on me there that pat 'dingle' daly from rhode was on this team aswell. Sure Wasnt' the great Jody Gunning the manager. Offaly were beaten in 1986 all ireland under 21, would love to see that team posted up. they were a better fifteen, and were pipped by Cork led by John O Driscoll and...

Re: The Offaly 1988 All-Ireland U-21 Winning Team
Mucklagh/ Rahan was known as St Carthages Mucklagh in those days. Vinny Claffey wasnt on it. Derek Claffey from above club was centre forward. Padraig Moran of Clara wasnt on the panel. this may be Tubber Padraig Moran (although not sure) Beat Cavan in the final who were missing their best player Ro...

Re: First indication of football panel for 2009
Players worth their place at present - Naill, Alan, Shane , Paschal, Niall Darby. Worth a look at in challenges/O'Byrne Cup - Brian Darby, Pauric Sullivan, Eoghan Byrne + Anton Sullivan (maybe too early yet, but will be some talent) Lets make one thing clear before the rest of this post. Rhode are ...

Re: Anton Sullivan
I didint realise that regarding Declan. He was a great minor- on Rhode team that got to two minor finals in a row 87&88, beat kilcormac and were beaten controversialy by Clara the following year (if the memory is correct).
Fair enough so.
Best of luck Rhode Runner over the coming weeks![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Spoke to Shane about an hour after the game.. He moved to england in 91 or 92 . Played some football with Neasden Gaels in london - (who were intermediate at the time and went on to win the london senior championship a few years later) Shane has an All England Under21 medal for London. Moved to Bed...

Two things might prevent him from making it however- the demon drink or being feted a hero in Rhode at too young an age...It has happened to often in Rhode in the past Please explain? kinda lost me on this one? Happened to who? Anton was a hero in Rhode when he won his first all Ireland at the age ...
