Ther's 2 good declan Kelly midfielders- Kilclonfert and Erin Rovers, both should be given a chance. I would have seen more of the Kilclonfert declan, who on his day can be excellent, great fielder of the ball.

The radio 3 commentary was very entertaining especially Paddy McCormack who came out with a few gems! Yea bazza that would make sense, but I don't think past managerial achievements were considered. I'm not slating Richie I'm sure he will do well but can anyone tell me any reason he got the job other than being captain in '82, it doesn't make sense to me.

I have no doubt he would inspire guts and determination, it's the other aspects of management I'm worried about, such as experience at the highest level. Great players do not great managers make (going back to the Steve Staunton comparison).
