Re: Allianz Hurling League Roinn 1B 2016
bord na mona the point is still the same, offaly have fell so far behind the top teams and we still cant manage to get our top club hurlers on board and as a result we are not been fair to young lads putting them straight into key roles on our senior team before they are ready . we have some injurie...

Why the big secrecy about the Offaly team, it's just Division 3 of the league!NewEra wrote:Has any team been released for tomorrow?
Also, any update on Johnny's injury? It will be a big loss if he's out tomorrow.

Re: Allianz Hurling League Roinn 1B 2016
Just said I’d try and kick off a new thread on the upcoming league seeing what people’s expectations are overall as well as in each respective round. Overall I’m hoping Offaly can do reasonable well. I’m not confident in that but am optimistic. Aside from the Wexford game (which was played in very ...

Re: 2016 National League Div 3
Certainly when it comes to playing Westmeath, home advantage would barely be worth a point to either side, such would be the familiarity that each side would have with the other's home ground. 5 years ago that would have been the case, but a lot of the Offaly footballers shop in Aldi and Lidl nowad...

Re: 2016 National League Div 3
In my opinion Offaly will do well to stay in Division 3 this season. We face Longford on Sunday, a team we found hard to beat recently, in a must win game, then away to Kildare the following Sunday. If Offaly lose to Longford, it could be a tough league campaign. We are away to promotion favourites ...

All from Shane Dooley, just one from play. Looks like Eamonn Kelly has a lot of work to do with Offaly ahead of the league.kingscounty wrote:6 points terrible return today , anyone any insight into the game today?

I know it's a week later but as i was getting married this week this is the 1st chance i have to post about last week. Lets start with Brendan Park and the running of the game. It's was excellent. A good crowd and no major traffic around the park, the facility were clean and the stwerads were sound...

Re: O'Byrne Cup 2016
Not too many games going ahead on grass anywhere now, though I did hear something about the Gracefield dressing rooms being out of commission at the moment? That might be just rumour though, I haven't been there or anything. A golden opportunity to launch the new lights in Doon passes by unfortunat...

Were you there yourself?greenairfield wrote:Looking forward to the Killkenny game now in 2 weeks, in the home of hurling as the fella says. There was no point letting a college team that probably hasn't met in 3 weeks to dig it up now was there.
How many was at the game in OCP,

Re: Brian Carroll retires
Great hurler, super skill , speed, score taker , free taker . He arrived on the scene at the rail wrong time , he was for me the best forward Offaly have had for the past 10 years and he will be badly missed . Enjoy your county retirement Brian but I will look forward to watching you play for Coold...

Re: Club Championships 2016
As we enter 2016, I think it will dawn on many hurling clubs that the proposed Hurling Championship structure in Offaly will not be in the best interests of club hurling players. Club training will start soon as a first round is likely in mid April with a second round three months later in mid July...
