Re: Expectation from the NHL this year?

Limerick Laois Clare Galway Tipperary Nothing would surprise me here in either direction. This is a perfect group for us to be playing against. Most of them might think we are just off this pace. Hopefully we prove differently. I'd set the over/under at 2.5. 2 wins would be slightly disappointing, ...

Re: Offaly Jersey

One thing I'd love to see is more availability of retro jerseys. In particular, as a for instance, the 1982 football jersey, which you can get here: http://www.retrogaa.com/product_info.php?cPath=70_88&products_id=358 I doubt the county board sees anything from the sale of these, does anyone know?

Re: Offaly vs Down - Walsh Cup

You never know, there might be some extra numbers drawn due to the additional interest in watching Joe's sideline performance.
I expect we'll hear some people using this game as a platform to explain why he's not right for the job, regardless of the result.

Re: RTE unfairness?

If they had used a clip of someone else, would they not be unfair to that person then?

Sorry, don't see an issue here.

I was watching this on Setanta from afar, so maybe I just missed it, but were Rory H & Joe B moved around at all? These were two boys we were counting on big time who never got into the game, and given the fact that we don't exactly have a ton of stars on the sideline, surely Mc could have tried...

I hope OF doesn't feel as though he's been ganged up on, but that can be an unfortunate impression in this kind of setting. Web Forums lack the subtleties of conversation that can be imparted over a pint. While he certainly comes across a little pessimistic, he may be closer to the mark than I think...

I'm surpised to see some of the names which have been dropped, but change is required. We'd be complaining if he sent out the same bunch as last year again. Personally, I think until the county championship is reduced to 8-10 teams, we won't see significant improvement in player quality, but that's ...

Interesting stuff. Obviously you'd need to get these into as many lads hands as possible for testing to build up a customer base. I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd be wary of it until I've had a chance to try it out for myself. I still remember those awful plastic yokes from years ago. Looking for...

The Kilkenny system is an attractive one, no doubt, certainly better than the current situation. Doobane Man, my point is that teams should know at the start of the year exactly what they have to do to reach a semi or quarter or avoid relegation, whichever the case may be. A system that sees a team ...

I'm not impressed by that system. Seems very convoluted and there's no clear reward for success (or punishment for failure). I really think the senior grade needs to be reduced to at most 12 teams, maybe 10. Apart from removing a few teams who have no business being senior anyway, it would allow eas...
