Re: Cribben out, Darby in?
After traveling the length of the country to go to the game on sat eve and pay €20 for what was a terrible performance. I'm not having a go at Cribben, he is human like the rest of us, but it was very clear after 5mins that Dalton wasn't at the races in midfield. Niall Smith tried his utmost to keep...

Re: Football 1st round qualifier draw
Well lads what do we think of the draws for the hurling & football. I think the football will be a tough draw, going to wexford park is not easy, like we said earlier we remember 2004 there. But in saying all that I think we still have a realistic chance of coming away with a result. Can we brea...

Whats the format for the hurling qualifiers
Just wondering what the format is for our hurlers in the qualifiers!! Will our footballers & hurlers be out on the same day.Thought we should have won on sat eve, we had our chances but didn't take them. At least I still have pride in them unlike our footballers who lack the apetite that is show...

Whats happening
I have to say travelling to these matches is breaking me, when are the faithful footballers ever going to give us something to cheer about.Every year its the same old crap, lack of commitment, passion and pride. We pay good money to support these guys and what do we get back - NOTHING. We have gone ...

Re: Richie Steps Down
Fair play to Richie stepping down, he will always be held in high esteem for the heroics of 82. Maybe some of the players can have a laugh back at him when they have won an all ireland themselves. But the next question is who do we get as manager. Would Luke Dempsey be an option, all the players see...

Re: First indication of football panel for 2009
Looking at the panel, we still lack something which is a good goal keeper, I think P Kelly is suspect under the high the ball, on many occassions he has come for the ball resulting in us loosing the game. I think Dean Bracken from Erin Rovers should be first choice. He is young, athletic & commi...

Re: Football Championships 2009
As the draw goes its the best we could hope for. No matter how good or bad we are, we have the opportunity to put a bit of pride back in the green white & gold jersey. The footballers can hold their heads in shame over last years performance, but with a new manager & start with a clean slate...

Re: Richie Connor set to become new manager
I suppose its not a bad choice if it goes ahead. Hopefully he can instill some of the pride in the faithful shirt that Joe Dooley has done with the hurlers. I was hoping that somebody like Tommy Carr would get the job, he would have been an ideal canidate, in the sense he would command respect &...

Re: Pride and Shame
I totally agree, when will the day come when a player takes pride in wearing the Offaly jersey. Our hurlers under Joe Dooley showed passion & committment to that great green white & gold. As for the footballers what can be said, I feel the manager should go as the players seem to have no res...

Offaly v Westmeath
Last Saturday night, was the most depressing game I have witnessed, im travelling the length & breath of the country following Offaly & its the same old story everytime. When is Pat Roe going to wake up & see that a forward line consists of 6 players and not 2. Westmeath had 4 defenders ...
