Re: Radical changes proposed to senior hurling championship

I think the logic is that it's the middle ground between lads getting meaningful games but at the same time still not seeing every club hurler in the county lying idle because the county's minor footballers or some such go on a good run. It'll need to be clearly laid out that in the group stages at...

Re: Geographical bias from referees

So what's the general feeling? If a North Offaly team is playing a South Offaly team (for example) would people perceive that the ref is likely to incline towards the club close to home? . I always got this feeling, but not always against sometimes if you were from a football area and playing a fhur...

Re: Radical changes proposed to senior hurling championship

Do the county board propose to scrap the league or will it be like Kilkenny aswell? I would say Ballyskenagh will be back up heard Ballinamere were very poor in semi final replay,Birr will hardly use any intermediates this saturday but even still skenagh look stronger on paper.

Re: Senior Hurling Championship semi-finals

Very good preview, I wouldn't be surprised if the Birr corner backs swap corners Verney onto Slevin and O'meara onto Currams. If KK win the first few balls that go into the full forward line they will continue on on top,a good start helps any forward and with county panelists on the bench no forward...

Re: Kerry V Tyrone - Who would you choose?

while what you state isn't fair from the truth the idea that only kerry are at it is way off. Fist to the crowd surely you'v seen a few other teams do that this year! That is exactly what I didn't say. My point is that Kerry are now doing do the sort of things that they are extremely quick to criti...

Re: Kerry V Tyrone - Who would you choose?

I must say I was delighted Tyrone won. Not so much for liking them, but for all of Kerry's antics in recent years, reaching a new peak this year. Cynical football, constantly bawling at refs and the ridiculous fist pumping antics of some of their players. Fine, other teams do it and other teams are...

Every club seems to have a referee they think is biased against them!

Re: Senior Hurling Championship quarter-finals

Fierce dissapointing matches, the result between K/K and Tullamore ould have been more to K/K, they fell asleep for a while in this game and let Tullamore back in. Tullamore made way too many basic mistakes F Kerrigan scored a couple of great points but lost the ball on numerous occasions trying to ...

Re: Intermediate Hurling Championship.

I would expect the winners to come from this weekend's semi final although looking at the birr team it is not too bad for a team that won the previous year ( and so had less intermediates this year), Skenagh should beat ballinamere, who can either be brilliant or very poor, when duignan hurls they a...
