Re: Offaly vs Waterford

I dont think offaly should fear waterford even though there a step above an overrated limerick. If mcgrath starts at full back i think this would be good for offaly because its taking the best hurler in the country for the last 5 or 6 years out of a position where he dominates games. The forwards sh...

Re: Cork vs Galway

i cant understand how galway are rated so high and cork so low. people are rating galway on their league performances but galway usually have a good league and dont do much after. there team was named and it doesnt look anything special to me, they will depend alot on joe canning and damien hayes fo...

Re: Some things never change!

I was at the match and some of his scores were brilliant with around 1-5 or 1-6 from play. Showed some brilliant bits of skill and shooting and looked fitter than he has in a few years. Lone Shark you are right to a degree John wanted to increase his chances with Offaly so he had to be seen to be pl...

Re: Under 21 hurling - Offaly v Wexford

Im looking forward to the game tonight, saying that i would have some concerns about the team. Treacy is a nice hurler but i think wexford might target and try to issolate him under the high ball where i think he could be cleaned if on a big player and dosent get help from midfield. Not sure about Wy...

Re: Full Time Score 2-11 to 1-8

I thought my post was clear enough. I'm not suggesting that guys playing intermediate football are not (or will ever be) good enough to play inter-county. What I'm saying is this, just in case it's not clear: - Playing intermediate football is zero conditioning or preparation for Senior Inter-Count...

Re: U21 v Carlow

Was at the match today, Offaly won 3-16 to 1-8. Offaly were poor in the first half and were lucky to be winning 1-9 to 1-7 at half time. Got 2 quick goals early in second half which killed off carlow who seemed to give up after that. Leonard played well at centre back and Horan at midfield with Gorm...

Re: Offaly u-21 hurling team

Im not 100% sure but i heard Colin Egan got a call up also, probably because of his Fitzgibbon performances. Its hard to say someone will be playing because of their form at the moment because first u-21 championship match isnt til around 3 months time i think. Looks like a good panel with a good sh...

Re: Ray of hope?

"Aside from the fact that for hurling Mountbolus is a fine pitch" I'd have to disagree strongly with this. I've hurled championship in various grades for the last 3 years and would have it probably as the worst pitch I've played senior championship on in Offaly. I haven't played there thi...

Re: Offaly Training

Whats wrong with wanting to know what 2 players are no longer part of the panel? I want to know because maybe they are regular starters or just fringe panel players so ill know how big a loss they are. Whats so wrong with that Muck Savage? Its better than having people guessing who the 2 players are.
