Re: Hurling Championship

After copious amounts of underage finals between St.Rynagh's and Kilcormac/Killoughey over the last number of years we now get to see them battle it out for the Senior crown. With the underage dominance they have had it was close to an inevitability that this would eventually happen. Hard to know wh...

kingscounty wrote:anyone any idea on when the hurling finals are fixed for lads?

Senior Final was supposed to be September 30th but with Galway vs Kilkenny replay on that weekend it's been pushed back until October 7th with football a week after.

Re: Club football championship

Semi Final Draw is:

Tullamore vs Rhode
Clara vs Edenderry

A Rhode vs Edenderry final would surely get the blood flowing up that end of the county!!

Re: minor A club hurling championship

At the risk of sounding unintentionally patronising kinnittyman, that's a massive achievement for ye to finish top of a group featuring Birr and Rynaghs. It's hard to compete with the bigger clubs (especially those based in a town/towns) at underage level so very well done so far. I've been away al...

Re: minor A club hurling championship

I'm not to sure what the format is after the group stages but here how the groups finished: Group 1: 1. Kinnitty 2. Seir Kieran 3. Ballinamere 4. St. Rynaghs 5. Birr 6. CRC Gaels 7. Na Fianna Group 2: 1. Kilcormac 2. Belmont 3. Shinrone 4. Coolderry 5.Tullamore 6.Shamrocks I'd be very surprised if t...

Re: Hurling Championship

Had a change of heart in the last few minutes so went with a €5 accum on Shinrone, Coolderry, Seir Kieran, Belmont and Kinnitty.

Pays out at roughly 27/1!! I'll have the walkman on for updates!!!

Re: Hurling Championship

Excellent stuff there Plain. I wouldn't even try to compete. All I'm going to do is give my predictions for the weekend and my predections for the Quarter Finals Tullamore vs Drumcullen - Tullamore Kilcormac vs Kinnitty - Kinnitty Birr vs Shinrone - Birr Clareen vs Shamrocks - Clareen Rynaghs vs Bel...

Re: Football Review Committee Survey

Ya I filled it in and I sent them an email on a few details aswell. Here's what I proposed for new football championship structure: While I do enjoy the Provincial Championships and I feel they give a tangible aim for most counties at the start of the year (not every team can aim to win the All-Irel...

Re: Hurling Championship

Birr and Clareen both won tonight. Both games finished 3-16 to 1-13. As far as I know that leaves Birr's group done and dusted with a round of games to spare. Shinrone, St. Rynagh's, Birr and Belmont to go through. The only question is in what order? Clareen beating Brosna Gaels tonight means that i...

Re: This weeks fixtures......anyone got them?

The current hurling chamionship format is far from ideal. With four teams coming out of a six team group there's way too many games to be played just to eliminate four teams. Matches lack intensity as teams know that 2 wins probably see them through to the knock-out stages and every team I presume i...

Re: Offaly vs Cork - SHC Qualifier Rnd 2 07/07/2012

Bluesky, you've never heard as much bullshit in your life, have you not?? Obviously you can't hear yourself talk so. Toxic City is spot on. Shane Dooley is an exceptionally talented hurler who when in possession is incredibly accurate but he has a lazy streak to his game. Just look at his workrate o...

Re: Offaly vs Cork - SHC Qualifier Rnd 2 07/07/2012

Ah good man Ollie. Like obviously James Dempsey was the problem against Galway. And not your tactics. Or your selection of players who clearly are not now up to inter-county hurling. Or your ridiculous decisions during the game. No it was definitley all the goalkeeper's fault!!
