Re: Championship Structures
Yes it seems this year that there will be relegation semi-finals in the SHC. 5th in Group 1 vs 6th in Group 2 and vice versa with the losers playing in the relegation final. Worrying times for the likes of Drumcullen, Lusmagh, Kinnitty and Brosna Gaels. Come relegation semi-finals players could be i...

Re: Ollie Baker
Donal Og would have no inter-county management experience but I'm fairly sure he has been coach of Cloyne in the recent past. And other posts we might not have heard of up here. We're a long way from the Cork club scene in Offaly. Ideally I would like to see him gain some underage inter-county exper...

Re: Ollie Baker
I'm all for consistency of management if there is an improvement in the team year on year. (See Eamonn Cregan's first 3 years in charge of Offaly) Getting rid of a manager just for the sake of it can often cause more problems than it is worth as there is the inevitable settling in period needed for ...

Lost 4-16 to 0-13. Only 0-03 from play. The future is bleak.

Re: Offaly minor Hurlers 2013
Half Time: Laois 3-9 Offaly 0-05.
Seemingly Offaly have the wind in the second half. It seems they'll need more than just that.

Re: Hurling to return to St Brendan's Park
Not only that, but you can stay on in SBP for a Womens' football match betwixt Limerick and Roscommon which is on at 7pm. Hold on a minute....!! A football match in Birr?? Does Daithi Regan know this is happening?? Surely this game should be in Tullamore??? Offaly Hurling Man "couldn't watch a...

Re: Hurling to return to St Brendan's Park
sure maybe a few will come from kinnitty village come early to get your seat, there will be more at it than there would if it was in tullamore all the same. Just out of curiosity, I'd be interested to hear if anyone does get an actual attendance figure tonight, to post it up here. It would be...

Re: Hurling to return to St Brendan's Park
As this match has been moved to Birr I presume it will have to be all ticket as the thousands who wont travel to Tullamore will surely make the pilgrimage to their hurling Mecca.
A sort of Haj for the South Offaly hurling fraternity if you will!

Re: Allianz-Hurling-league 1B
The last two Sundays have seen me witness some of the worst hurling produced by Offaly teams since I started going to games. Offaly in Carlow were absolutely deplorable. Constantly second to the breaking ball and a huge inability to claim primary possession and use it wisely. Anyone who was in Carlo...

Re: All Ireland Club Hurling Championship 2012-2013
What a super performance by KK today. The workrate from their players was absolutely outstanding. Their forwards could deliver a lesson to our county forwards on how to pressurise the defender into rushed clearances and or forcing a turnover. Also I lost count the amount of times KK players got in h...

Re: Allianz FL Division 4 2013
So they wore the new jerseys?
Does that mean they are now officially on board or was today a trial run with them?
