Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2023
Best of luck to new management. Hopefully this thing that has been going since 2001 of giving up most years after Leinster Championship can be addressed. I never understood going through the hardship of all the winter training and then check out in the summer before games finished.

Re: Offaly Intermediate Club Hurling Championship 2023
Believe it or not, Edenderry were 5-5 to 5-4 winners over in 1938’s Senior hurling quarter-final! Edenderry gave Drumcullen a walkover in 1964 while in their only other meeting (1965), Drumcullen were 7-10 to 1-4 winners. Thanks, was wondering when Edenderry and Drumcullen last met. I wonder when w...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2023
Hard luck to the Offaly players after the huge effort yesterday. Hope they can give Tipp a good game in a few weeks.

Re: League & Championship hurling 2022
A note to acknowledge Edenderry's first hurling league campaign in quite a few years, finishing second in the group too. Well done to all involved.

Re: Club Hurling championship
6 week layoff did not stop Ballinamere and Brosna Gaels winning their JHC semi finals in end. Final on Friday night at Faithful Fields according to fixture list

Re: Club Hurling championship
That championship structure obviously isn’t working. Delaying the semi finals that long is a load of bollix and very unfair to Brosna Gaels & Ballinamere. Go back to the traditional group set up. You’d wonder what the county board are thinking sometimes 6 weeks break for Brosna Gaels and Ballin...

Re: Club Hurling championship
How are edenderry doing this year in junior hurling? Very good win in first round, looked like they were going to continue Junior B momentum into Junior A. Lost 3 scoring forwards then to injuries and other unavoidable reasons, and then a couple of narrow defeats and momentum lost. For most of team...

Re: Club Hurling championship
Under rule, scoring difference couldn't be used as some teams had been awarded walkovers, so some had played more matches than others. So there is a four way play off. As I understand it, this will involve one straight knockout round (effectively quarter finals), though I could be wrong. Thanks, th...

Re: Club Hurling championship
Does anyone know what is going on in the JHC? Surprised to see a 4 way round robin competition on offaly.gaa.ie to separate 3rd and 4th (4 teams finished on 6 points). Why not just decide it on scoring difference? The only thing I can think of is the criss-cross formation so scoring difference is no...
