Re: O'Byrne and Walsh cups 2022

nothing wrong with discussing his unavailability..no need for door and bolt attitude...if he came back tommorow ye would be the very first on here mentioning his stats etc and ground covered etc...its only chat for lords sake...

Re: O'Byrne and Walsh cups 2022

when playing for Offaly and his club, he is mentioned in the same vein as Ben Conneely is for Rynaghs and Offaly, a leader and important player, thats good enough for me any game I seen him play in...he rarely had a poor game I seen...anyway, I dont think you will agree so as they say we will agree ...

Re: O'Byrne and Walsh cups 2022

Ime not related and not same club but I think thats very very unfair to say about the player..that man was the first man to litteraly fall flat on his face in the muck and wet last year when Down beat us...the man, like in most other games covered every blade of grass and was trying upto the final w...

Re: O'Byrne and Walsh cups 2022

Some of the players started V Antrim I thought did very well, Paddy Clancy dealt with anything came his side and supported CB and MF well, the ball was mainly on the other wing so he did enough to impress me..Eimhin Kelly was also quiet good I thought, and showed and won alot of ball too..I wont go ...

Re: O'Byrne and Walsh cups 2022

watched the hurling on the stream...a good win over all, felll off alot with all the changes and thats not to say the players that came in made no impact, our scoring just dried up..the rucks (I hate this ruby terminology) were very scrappy and the difference between us and the big teams is the the ...

Re: Club Managers 22

thanks for that..never heard of a hurling Denis Kelly (Ferbane footballer in 80's and 90s I know) Interesting to see who takes over Rynaghs and how they will go now without Hogan...in fairness the profile is pretty high now being 3 in a row champions so it might attract a biggish name enough trying ...

Re: Club Managers 22

apologies if this is covered previously, I wont be reading every post, just a tad surprised at Ollie Baker leaving Belmont in ways, injuries etc. denied him of Oisin Kelly I know and he was missed in their games..perhaps he was moving on himself (Baker) interesting to see how Delaney goes with Belm...

Re: O'Byrne and Walsh cups 2022

only heard a few of he radio stations and MR3 facebook live coverage and by all accounts Offaly hurled well, the second goal was a killer and Offaly faded out after that and never really threatened as such there after...10 subs used I think I heard Michael Fennelly saying so the gave the squad a ful...

Re: O'Byrne and Walsh cups 2022

again like my other post about the hurlers, some opting out for different reasons and will be big losses, 11 U20s called up, a hard job in ways trying to blend it altogether, I hope we dont start this "minding" of players like other mangers we had, most teams who win an U20 or 21 (and sometimes mino...

Re: Offaly Hurlers 2022

Just seen on Midland Tribune a few lads not returning to Offaly hurling panel for various reasons and few new lads coming in. A few surprise withdrawals in ways, but a few didnt feature much last season so I suppose that will happen. A few interesting names coming in, we probably could have done wit...

Re: National leagues 2022

Ide be hopeful rather than optimistic looking at the football fixtures, there are a few teams there we can pitch against on any day (beating or gettting points off them is another issu I know) but it will be interesting and I think we will pick up points in some games...hurling looks daunting for su...

Re: Club Hurling championship

a Rynaghs win last Sunday over Kilkenny opposition would certainly be a great boost for the club hurling championship in Offaly next year too and and would generate more excitement which can only be a good thing..it may not get us too far outside of that (we wont know until a year or so) but every p...

Re: Club Hurling championship

Rynaghs win or performance may not do much for Offaly hurling as pointed out by POH above, however, with them (Kilkenny) not at the tip top at intercounty at the moment (as in winning All Irelands) , the next place to stunt them is at club level, and as others pointed out Ballyhale looked a tired te...
