Offaly G.A.A Under Age Development
I just read an article in the Midlands tribune this week, which I would advise everybody to take a look at. Brian Lowry wrote an article "Signs of progress as development squads come under the spotlight" and "Offaly GAA seal deal with Athlone Institute of Technology". Me for one ...

Re: Offaly Hurling the real problem
We are talking about the core problem which is the development at underage level. You can sit and moan about Brian Whelehan all day everyday, but realistically if there was a good development system Brian should have 15 to pick from every senior club team!! And players should have respect for the ma...

Re: Offaly Hurling the real problem
Thanks townman, I agree with what that man was saying people started to believe that talent was just coming naturally and that success would be continuous. But reality has hit now . The only way we will win anything in years to come is by development at underage, yes putting S&C coaches with the...

Offaly Hurling the real problem
A lot of people are putting the blame on Brian Whelahan and other previous managers, which I think is completely ridiculous. The real problem is at underage level our minors and u 21s!! We even need to go further down to nearly u10's. The structures and systems used over the last decade or 2 are mil...

Offaly GAA Strength and Conditioning
Does anybody actually know who Offaly has for Strength and Conditioning? For Hurling/Gaelic Football. And is there different S+C coaches for the different age groups?

Re: Offaly Senior Hurling 2014
Nobody said it would all be happy ever after...There is too much negativity surrounding this group of players this year. We can't be here posting depressing stuff every week about the state of hurling in our county. We have to support the players that we have, yes maybe they are not the best team in...

Offaly Senior Hurling 2014
So our lads have overcome the potential banana skin that was Antrim up in Ballycastle, which was always going to be a tough game especially after losing the relegation match against them. And also the fact that we took a heavy beating against Kilkenny. So lets take a positive look on this..............

Re: All-Ireland Hurling Qualifiers Round 1 Antrim v Offaly
Personally I think Brian Whelahan picked a very strong team to play Antrim. Firstly the starting 15 is very unpredictable in which way they will line out..Rumours were going around that David Kenny played full forward in a recent practice match, so maybe he will start on the edge of the square. The ...

County Board
After watching the u21 match tonight, and seeing in the 1st half how far Offaly were off the pace only registering 2 points. It was yet another sad day for Offaly hurling. Personally I feel the late appointment of the management team was a major cause of the problems at u21 level. If we take a wider...
