Re: Defunct clubs

I remember my father told me years ago that certain clubs would be set up especially at underage, as they were recognised as a club when it came to getting All Ireland tickets that they were entitled, he said it caused uproar as one small club had a cute secretary and had multiple team names, this c...

Re: We need to talk about Leinster GAA

Money will talk and probably has, when money is being distributed around for teams development we have to make sure we get it, if that means keeping quiet so be it. I am sure the county boards know all about this. As for OCP and the birr development I am sure there was a payment from the Leinster co...

Re: DIV 3 NFL predictions and general chit chat.

How does scoring difference come in if Offaly lose next week and Leitrim beat Tipp. They will all be on 5 points but the walk over given by Leitrim against Down means what in terms of scoring difference?

Re: Fixtures

I think the 2 senior b games are on Saturday, first one is on at half 1 not sure of second game. The relegation senior b final is half 7 in killeigh.

The 2 senior games are down for Sunday both in OCP as per the 2 on Saturday. Don’t quote me on any of the above but that’s what I heard.

Re: Live Streaming of Club Matches

I watched one of the football games midweek and was really impressed, a fantastic service and had no issues, being picky the scoreboard was wrong for a long period but not a big issue. Today i said i would get the Banagher and Ballinamere game, a great game up to the first water break, i was getting...

Re: DIV 3 NFL predictions and general chit chat.

If memory serves me correct he only got a yellow card as well. The game was recorded on Offaly gaa tv but incident I think happened near middle of field so angle may have been missed.
That day there could have been more like Niall now the way that first half was played for a 5-10 minute spell.

Re: O’Byrne Cup

Confidence can only be maintained by winning the o Byrne cup and keeping the momentum going. Let’s hope there is a good crowd in there. I saw that you could buy a season ticket to all club games for 120 or 140 euro for the year. It would be great if they could use this game to sell them and get the ...

Re: Byrne v Duignan

Can i ask a question regarding the Byrne vs Duignan debate. I know each club gets a vote but who actually decides, i assume it is the secretary but do they go back to their club and and decide or how does it go. What i am getting at here is like the All Ireland B as we could call it and the people ...

Re: Leinster Under 20 Hurling Championship

Following on from the minor win 2 years ago ballinamere followed it up with a strong second half to claim the U20 title. If you were to say at half time that ballinamere would be comprehensive winners not many would agree with you. They were second best for long periods in the first half with birr r...

Re: Senior A Football 2019

To say Clara lost their heads for a 10-15 minute spell in the first half would be an understatement.2 reds, 4 yellows and Brian Darby and Niall mc going off with head injuries. They completely lost it and game was over at that stage after conceding 2 goals within 7 minutes. Rhode played with Clara f...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

Despite Shane Kinsella putting on a performance it wasn’t enough to stop kinnity going to senior B and Ballinamere maintaining senior status. From an entertainment point of view when Kinnity scored the goal to go a point up and follow up with a point straight away they looked the likely winner. Ball...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

Age is irrelevant, the 2 Mahers and Seamie Callanan are all 30 and will be there again next year. I remember years ago I think it was Edenderry juniors who had all ex senior players play a real young team, Edenderry would get in positions with balls bouncing over the other team. Would Tullamore have...
