100% correct about league format. The league is designed as a safe trialling space for counties 1-9.
Counties 10-12 are the cannon fodder. Counties 10-32 should work together to change this. They won't however as only about 5 (if even that) of the Counties from 10 to 32 have a county board who ...

Re: Parish Rule
It's not always the case that players will go to a bigger club. But if your forcing kids to play for a club they don't want to or can't cater for in a proper manner I think they should be allowed play where they wish. I know in Dublin in particular where if a player can't make a first team ...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2023
I think having 3 places up for grabs is a good idea. It makes the league section less cut throat and gives teams a chance to develop players. Finish in top 3 and then you have 2 possible knock out games to earn promotion before a crack at the Joe McDonagh. Nothing wrong with the system.

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2023
Kildare's county champions beat the Offaly County champions by about 15 pts. If that last league game is crucial for both teams it should be an interesting game. Kildare will have no fear of Offaly.

Re: Neville Coughlan tackles robber
Of all the former Offaly footballers that could arrive on the scene, you couldn't have picked a better equipped. In the defence forces with military training for such situations and one of the fastest Offaly footballers that I can remember. How unlucky for those two robbers!
