Tipsters Contest, Round 9 - AND Start of Knockouts!!!!!
Howdy,
Sorry I didn't get to this until now! Right, as well as being Round 9 of the league, this is the start of the knockouts. The format (for those who don't know) is quite simple.
This is the last chance for newcomers to get on board. All entrants this week will be put into the start of the McCormack/Regan Cups. The top 12 plus ties qualify for the top tier competition - the Paddy McCormack Cup. All others who enter this week, or those who have entered in any week up until now will be eligible for the second tier contest, the Regan Cup. The next time we get a big round of games, each competition will be whittled down to eight, and there will be quarter Finals and onwards from there. For the first two rounds, until the quarters, the current league standings will be used as tie breakers so as to reward regulars. However one extra point will overcome that, and from quarter finals onwards regulars and noobs will be on a level playing field.
So just to re-iterate - everyone should post this week. Have a go, and secure your entry at least.
Here are the games - I've left out tonight's match, so as to ensure everyone has a little bit of time to enter. I didn't mean that to work out that way, but to only give eight hours would be a bit harsh. We all know Clara will win anyway ....
So the matches are .....
St Brigids (F) v St Rynaghs (U)
Erin Rovers v Gracefield
Shamrocks (F) v Doon (U)
Tullamore v Edenderry
Ferbane v Ballycumber
Drumcullen (U) v Ballyskenach (F)
Kinnity v K/K
