I have at times had difficulty putting a message on this site.Especially if it takes a bit of time to type it in.When I go to submit it reverts me back to log in.
Is there some type of a time limit to put up a message?

If you spend some time typing, sometimes it logs you out - the best way is to click the "always log me in on this computer option".
However if you're working off public access - i.e. college etc., all I can tell you is always copy your text and be ready to paste it again if posting. Not sure why it has so little patience, but it is the way sadly.
