Haven't been there this year and I might be biased since my last few visits were on gorgeous summer days, but Coolderry would edge it for me.

As an aside, I've a vague recollection of Mountbolus being a great pitch back when it was used for games. I presume with the amount of teams K-K field these days, it still gets used for underage games etc.?

Mountbolus isn’t great. Anytime I’ve been at a game there is hasn’t been in great nick.

I assumed it had gone that way all right - I haven't been there in 15 years or so, so I was guessing it had been let decline a bit. Or possibly my memory was flawed!

Surely the best pitch is Tullamore GAA's first team pitch in O'Connor Park?

Some pitches are great in Summer and not so much so in Winter.

Kilcormac is fabulous summer pitch with great surface for hurling. It used to be bit soft in winter. Not sure if still the case.

KK also have new pitch behind that that looks to have a brilliant surface that is inter county standard.

Dr Kellys field in Tullamore is also a great pitch that nobody has mentioned.

I agree that Kilcormac is a good field, but not many get to experience it any more as they are refusing to host any club championship games this year
