Not sure what way that works but Carrig should be relegated

Big win today for K/K over Crinkill.

I was at the game. Kk deserved the win. Better all over the field. Crinkill looked rusty and struggled to get good possession and gave the ball away cheaply a lot. I thought the ref was poor. Seemed to let a lot of throwing the ball go and also over carrying. However this did not have a bearing on the result.

In group 2 tonight Brosna Gaels bet Clodiagh Gaels by 0-17 to 1-13 to top the group. Clodiagh Gaels finish second and Kinnitty third.

In group 1 , tomorrow’s game between Ballinamere & Crinkill is off due to a bereavement in Ballinamere. On Saturday Kk play Shamrocks and on Sunday Coolderry play Tullamore

2 more walkovers given this weekend in the last round of group games. Shamrocks conceded against Kk and Tullamore conceded against Coolderry. That’s 8 walkovers between the 2 groups with Carrig & Riverstown having pulled out. It’s becoming more regular now in junior A & B championships . Anyway only 1 more game left. Ballinamere vs Crinkill has been refixed for this coming Sunday. I’d expect Ballinamere to win this one and that only gives Crinkill a week to recover for a QF which is a bit unfair in my opinion, unless they push the QF stage out a week which I highly doubt. But I suppose the show must go on. I’m predicting Ballinamere to top the group and join Brosna Gaels in the semis. Crinkill vs Clodiagh Gaels and Kk vs Kinnitty in the QF.

ah come on now its not like they have played 20 games this season and are overtrained for that level 7 days is perfectly fine.

If a player picks up an injury it doesn’t give much time for recovery. If it happened at senior level I’m sure whatever club was involved wouldn’t be too happy.

Happened recently with Ballinamere Durrow Ferbane and Belmont about a month ago did it not? And everyone got on with it

I don’t know about that one and I’m not saying they won’t get on with it. I’m just making a point it’s not ideal preparation for a QF. That’s just my opinion

A very impressive Ballinamere beat an under strength Crinkill side by 6-33 to 3-14 this afternoon. Even at full strength Crinkill would probably have struggled. Ballinamere surely nailed on favorites to win it out now. They go into a semi final while Crinkill have to pick themselves up and prepare for a QF

Quarter final results

Clodiagh Gaels 1-14
Crinkill 1-13

Kk 2-15 Kinnitty 1-14

Clodiagh Gaels & Kk join Ballinamere & Brosna Gaels in semi finals. I’d imagine this is an open draw but it’s hard to see anyone beating a very strong Ballinamere side. Good progress from Crinkill this year after coming up from Junior B last year. So close to making the last 4. Kinnitty will surely be disappointed not to go further considering they were Intermediate couple of years ago

Are KK still in the junior B? If so, there’s a fair chance chance of K/K v Ballinamere in the finals of Senior, Junior A and Junior B. That would be quite something. Surely a first in Offaly and maybe even across the country? POTH might have some insight on the Offaly side of things so I’ll defer to him!!
