Absolutely not, if the home and away arrangement is maintained. Offaly went to Donnycarney in 2021, Dublin came to Birr in 2020.

Leinster fixture plan states county from lower group (which Offaly are) would have home advantage unless a home-away agreement is in place.. as POTH as pointed out, the home-away is on our turn, so under either scenario it should be a home game

Leinster Council Fixtures and results section has it for Glenisk OCP on Wednesday week (10th) now. I don't pay a blind bit of heed to anything Private Joker writes here, and I'd advise anyone else to do the same. Kilkenny v Wexford is in Kilkenny on the same evening.

Thought it was in parnell due to Dublin been away vs galway and kk and finishing top of that group.

Round robin venues have no impact on 'home and away' arrangements, which relate to knockout games only.

3 serious enough injury stoppages on Saturday to allow treatment to Offaly players and they had to rely on the Galway doctor and physio to assist and take the lead in 2 of the cases.
It's not good enough. If Galway can bring a doctor we should have one available in Tullamore.
Not looking to harp on about it but hopefully it's sorted for the next day.

Found that unusual aswel , what's the story with ambulances at games now like the order of Malta etc I thought they'd normally be there haven't really paid much attention to those resources at games. , can't believe the ref decided to play on right after brecons injury the hole of O Connor Park could see the seriousness he was flat out not moving much

Big ask. Dublin are a very physical team but Offaly clearly have the talent to trouble them.

Big ask but as you said we have the talent and with players to come back such as Dan Ravenhill, Cillian Martin, Ruairi Kelly and Donal Shirley to name a few only strenghtens our hand.

I would fancy an Offaly win as I think home advantage and a big Offaly crowd will get behind this team.

A massive performance and a result to match against Galway. No mean achievement. They might have had a lad tied up with the Seniors and another injured, but with over 35 hurling-only clubs Galway have a fair conveyor belt.

Offaly’s talent was matched by their work rate. It helps when the wizard is the one with the biggest appetite for work, for hunting down of opponents, hooking and blocking, sticking the hurl up for a puckout and so on. That sets the standards.

The spirit around the Faithful Fields this week should be massive.

Dublin will represent a different challenge. They’re in better form than Galway for a start, and are probably the form team in Leinster. They beat Galway who had Collins on the field, they beat Wexford comfortably, and they weren’t far off beating Kilkenny. They should start favourites, which is fine.

Much is made of the impact of Offaly’s 2022 Minors. But it gets forgotten that the 2020 Minors were a decent bunch, well coached, massive work ethic, reaching a Leinster final that was disrupted by Covid restrictions. Mark Troy, Luke Watkins, Sam and Dan Bourke, Colin Spain, Cathal King, Joe Hoctor, Charlie Mitchell and Cormac Egan were on that team. Charlie Bracken and Ruairí Dunne remain on the scene.

Since then, Patrick Taaffe, Ben Miller, Barry Egan and Alex Kavanagh have come through the Combined Schools campaign during the winter. A conveyor belt of our own. And Mitchell, Sam Bourke and Joe Hoctor are on the Offaly Senior panel, Colin Spain and Alex Kavanagh have hurled in s Senior county final where Luke Watkins was on the winning side.

Next Wednesday promises to be quite an occasion. Hopefully the weather stays fine, it would make a lot of difference. Nothing is guaranteed in sport, but we can be certain Offaly will bring the massive rate of work that saw them overcome Galway. They have set their own standards. And with that, anything is possible.
