No official word on the next SH Manager. Is there a left field candidate out there?. I would like a bit of certainty. The hurling championship is now at the knockout stages.

In mitigation its a very shallow managerial pool. Think I read a report recently in a paper that reflected this sentiment.

Whatever way you want to spin it however, its been a bit of a poor show from the county board. Offaly must have played their last game of intercounty hurling nearly 2 months ago, with the writing on the wall about how the season was going to go some time before that. Any new management is going to be behind the 8 ball already having missed so much of the club hurling season. I don’t know to what degree the club games are recorded, certainly the county board hasn’t been posting any game clips on social media, so the new management will be relying on word of mouth for player recon.

Unless of course it is Johnny Kelly who will know all about the players that are out there. Bit of a mad one if true that mick Fennelly was up in ballinamere doing coaching after being let go.

Kelly is manager. Putting mgt team together.

How certain are you that Kelly is the new senior hurling manager? I heard no official word, but it appears to be Kelly. The Co. Exec are keeping things on a tight leash.

Pretty certain at this stage. Remember, only fennelly stepped away. Not the mgt team. But I have heard that one or two of the mgt team have moved on as they were left in limbo. Think one has gone in with Dublin.

Heard Teehan from Coolderry staying on as is Goalkeeper coach. O'Brien with Rynaghs so he stepped away too.

S&C gone to Dublin

If its going to be Kelly they might as well come out and say it, this is dragging on too much now in fairness, not that they will be doing much bar looking at closing stages of our club championship, its beginning to look like no one is jumping at the job, and while we know that may be the case, surely someone of some sort of pedigree has put their hat in the ring.

Correct. Just make the announcement, if there is a manager appointed.

Edit- Martin Maher(?), Colm Cullinane(?) and Barry Teehan are to be selectors. While Brian Roche will head up the S&C team.
