Offaly footballer Ken Casey is transferring to Westmeath senior football champions St Loman's.
An accountant by trade, Casey has been working in Mullingar for the past few years and the St Brigid's clubman will now line out in the blue and white of Loman's.
The town team won the county title for the first time in 50 years when they defeated Tyrrellspass in the final last year.
The transfer of the talented Casey, who has been one of Offaly's best forwards in recent years, is a huge boost to the Westmeath side.
Strange move for Ken considering that he is living at home in Croghan at present, this won't go down well with the Croghan people, don't think he is an accountant either. It might be a good move in the long term as he would be playing senior football but why not move to Rhode then if that what he wanted to do. Strange to say the least.
