Best of luck to Gallen Comm School in the Junior All Ireland on Saturday. 4 of the team played for the senior team in last years final, which is great experience to have in the team.
St Saran's won the Junior B Colleges All Ireland final in 1988, 25 years ago (I think??). Great to see the work that is going on down there.
There was no venue on the Midland tribune, anyone know where and what time this game is on?

Cusack Park in Mullingar at 1.15pm, followed by the senior "B" colleges final between St Attractas of Tubbercurry and a Tipp school, Templemore I think.
Lousy feckin wedding means I'll miss it. Seriously, who gets married on weekend days in Spring and Summer?

Great stuff, its only on the doorstep, should be a big crowd, and huge advantage that the team dont have to travel far.

Great win on Saturday.
Gallen started off well and through accurate kick passing into the full forward line they reeled off some lovely scores and 8 or 9 points to 0 up. Warrenpoint hit back and missed at least 2-02 in the space of 5 min, and were hit with a real sucker punch when Micky Butler turned his man yet again, and finished a great goal.
1-09 to 0-01 at half time. Warrenpoint showed their class at the start of the second half and had it back to 1-10 to 1-03, but again Butler struck for a great goal, which took the sting out of the game.
3-11 to 2-04 i think was the final score.
Gallen were full value and all of their players hit the ground running and played some marvellous football.
But young Butler is a star in the making, bit of a cut of Anton Sull about him, but more accurate, and an out and out forward.
Their kick passing was excellent and the space they made in the forwards with unselfish running was noticeable.
Plenty of room for optimism with a few of these players, and another stepping stone for the school, well done to the team and management.
