Pay for Play ??

Scandalous Offaly senior Camogie players expected to pay for parking across from O Connor park while they play for their county.

That carry-on went on a few years ago too, and was highlighted on TV. Then the footballers were in division 1 and I recall the Tullamore Club charged the players to park in the car-park in front of the GAA Centre. The Board reimbursed the players but the incident still left a sour taste.

I assume this is what happened again.

Does anyone know where the Offaly players (both football and hurling) park when they arrive for matches in OCP. Do they park inside the gate? Could something similar have been arranged today?

Truly shocking stuff. It's not like this situation wasn't known in advance, passes could have been issued if required. Basic organisational stuff that really should have been dealt with long before Sunday afternoon.
