Edenderry GAA is proud to announce that it is holding an Open Night for all members to launch the 2012 season on Tuesday 27th March at 8pm in the Clubhouse.

The evening arranged by the Coaching and Games Committee will be an opportunity for members to come along and pay their membership and also learn about what the Club is doing in terms of coaching. We are delighted to announce a line up of excellent speakers;

Colm O'Rourke - Former Meath Player, Ireland Manager and Current RTE Sunday Game Panellist and Irish Independent Columnist

Paul O'Kelly - Former Offaly & Edenderry Manager and the Current Strategic Officer for the GAA's Overseas Committee

Brian Gavin - The 2011 Offaly Referee of the Year and All Ireland Senior Hurling Referee 2011

Pat Cleary - Current Chairman of Offaly Coaching & Games Committee and former All Ireland Senior Hurling Winner with Offaly

Peter Brady - Current Edenderry Senior Football Manager and holder of 5 Offaly SFC and 1 Leinster Senior Medal

Our speakers will discuss a range of topics and it is hoped that the night will be an informative exercise for parents and players alike.

Well done and the best of luck to Edenderry, this is a great initiative by the club to build on the Senior final win, and also the success of St Marys, in order to drive interest in gaelic games in the town. This is an idea that other clubs should take up to encourage in new members and players, which I think is one of the key reasons behind a night like this.
Hopefully a good crowd turns out for it.
