hurling, a sissys game??

lads, i have to say that stamp has hit the nail on the head. i believe that HQ are making mistakes with all these changes. while i agree with the helmet being compulsory, there needs to be a certain hardyness and toughness added to offaly hurling. it would be no harm if some of our referees would let the game flow like the galway referees, who have a reputation for letting the game flow. im not talking about dirty strokes, but the "pulling hard" (when the ball is there obviously!) and the "shoulder". hurling is a mans game, soccer and golf are for those who are too soft or cowardly for the rough and tumble of hurling and gaelic.

discuss.

Offaly had the worst disciplinary record in Division 1.

Agree to a point but lads would want to differentiate between hardness and dirt

I find that the biggest problem is some players don't know the rules!! Then blame the referee for enforcing them. I know from experience that at training session managers and coaches let everything flow and don't blow for free's, therfore allowing fouling to become the norm.
