well its up to K/K club chairman and club members to ban this thug they know him well if he was a water boy for the
intermediate team. todays Offaly Express also show another member of the K/K back room team in the middle of the row
with his buddy who came out of the stand. K/K don't want to get a name like Clonaslee in laois with a supporter acting the
thug every match they go out in. they are a better club than that lets hope they get rid of that ape that jumped wall on sunday.

SPECULATION is mounting that Kilcormac/Killoughey may be considering lodging an appeal with the Offaly GAA Co Board CCC against the outcome of Sunday's controversial Aidan Bracken Building Design SHC semi-final where they succumbed to Tullamore by 0-13 to 0-10.
K/K finished with 13 players and Tullamore with 14 as three red cards were flashed during the second half.

K/K are very angry that mid-fielder Ciaran Slevin received a 37th minute red card (for what was deemed a second yellow card offence) in a case of 'mistaken identity'.

Referee Declan Cooke, whose attention was called to an incident by linesman Martin Walsh, had initially sent off Eamonn Lee and bizarrely, for whatever reason, the officials subsequently reversed their decision and Slevin was picked out for punishment.

Then eight minutes later, following a fracas in front of the stand, K/K sub Joey Dunican and Tullamore mid-fielder James Keane, were shown straight red cards.

Neither were guilty of very serious offences however while the match officials hesitated to intervene 'outside influences' weren't as a slow with a Tullamore water carrier and Kilcormac/Killoughey supporter, who left the stand to become involved, pouring petrol on a very tense situation.

Stewards eventually escorted the 'supporter', who was ironically wearing a t-shirt declaring 'Remember My Name', back to his seat and they later escorted referee Cooke to the sanctuary of his dressing room.

It is understood that Tullamore club officials were also sitting down to view a video of the game on Monday night to consider whether they'll look for the red card that was shown to Keane to be rescinded.

If it isn't, then the influential mid-fielder will miss the final and this will be a serious blow to the defending champions as they are already without Kevin Martin for Sunday week's showdown against Coolderry that will be refereed by Brian Gavin.

Referee Cooke allowed a little over three additional minutes at the end of Sunday's semi-final and this seemed quite short in light of the lengthy disruptions there were to the action.

The Slevin sending off fiasco, delay for treatment to a Tullamore defender on his goal line in the 42nd minute, the 45th minute fracas along with the introduction of five subs (2 Tullamore & 3 K/K) during the second half meant there should have been significantly more additional time but this issue is at the discretion of the referee.

In light of the 'outside influences' that became involved in the second half fracas, it also likely that the Offaly CCC will launch their own investigation.
Considering Sunday's semi-final was a repeat of the '09 final there was plenty of tension in the air and there was also a very physical dimension to the game, where many late challenges went unpunished and weren't dealt with promptly, thereby escalating into more serious incidents and this was unfortunate.

K/K justifiably can feel very aggrieved however when they disect their performance closely and reflect on the litany of missed goal and point opportunities they had during the first half, well they quite simply were the architects of their own downfall.

They could and should have been ten points clear at the interval and out of sight. And the longer the game went on the more vulnerable they were to a Tullamore smash and grab raid. K/K scored just one second half point from play and the player that accounted for this, their leading scorer Trevor Fletcher, was replaced.

The controversy surrounding the result shouldn't take from Tullamore's achievement in securing their return to the county final and the defending champions will be hard stopped even if they will be slight underdogs, a tag they absolutely love, when they face Ken Hogan's flying Coolderry side who trounced Kinnitty by 2-23 to 0-10 in a tame curtain raiser.

Well 'All=star 2010' Im not from Tullamore and Im not a 'windy townie' but I know one thing from your posts - you are a clown personified by your lack of respect and it wouldn't surprise me if you were the 'REMEMBER MY NAME' gorilla who leaped the wall to join the row. His name is common knowledge now and the fact he managed to get sent off previous day even though he was a waterboy. If the Chairman of KK has anything to him he will push to have him suspended for two years before the CB do - it might restore some respect for the club. Seems to me the 'windy townies' were anything but windy and thats why the are now in the final.

You are one of these gutless idiots who feel free to make personal jibes annonymously from the safe haven of your computer room. Stick to the topics and learn a bit of manners. I haven't read any disrespectful posts from anybody else here so cop yourself on.

Well said and i don't blame the ref i blame the people who appointed the ref ie the county board tony carroll & brian gavin are the top refs in the county and are two good hurling refs and both games should have been reffed by these men and if right was right ger healion should have got a straight red as his stroke on mark conlon which was by far the worst stroke in the match
