Tullamore
now that walsh Island are missing Brian Conner.if Brian was playing i think Walsh Island could of caused an upset.

Clara
looking to win the championship this year should get past a proud tubber team .Nothing better than a local derby and i think should be a good game.

Rhode
should have to much for ferbane even tough they havnt really clicked this year maybe they will now because its the group stages.

Ballycummber
should be a good game but ballycummber i think have showing really good flashes during the year and have being poor enough other times.if Nigel Dunne and P.J ward are kept quite i think Ballycummber will do it .

Tullamore
I think regardless of suspensions Tullamore should be too good for WI. Tullamore need to get a more settled and balanced team. They have always had decent midfields and this year it has been a bit of a problem. They have alot more talent than WI so If they can match the fire of WI their better skill should win out.
Shamrocks
Just about think Shamrocks should beat Ballycumber. Cant recall Ballycumber beating them in years and although Shamrocks are an awful lot weaker on paper than previous years they have been ticking along reasonably well with a limited but commited small panel. Ballycumber as always hugely reliant on Rory Guinan, if he is quiet they will struggle. Having said that strangely enough Shamrocks are now underdogs for this game. It will be interesting to see how Ballycumber adjust to being favourites.
Rhode
Well cant see any other outcome but a Rhode victory. Ferbane are reliant on Aidan Keenaghan and Ciaran Kenny. Keenaghan can cause Rhode big problems but Rhode have enough footballers all over to win out with a bit to spare. Ferbane will give this a good lash though I hope.
Clara
Comfortable win for Clara. I think Tubber beat Clara in the league last year with Deehan and Reynolds not enjoying a pleasant hour. Expect Tubber to be well up for it but they are limited.

I think Tullamore are a massive price at 8/13 and I cant see them been beaten at all. especially that W/I are missing B Connor and they might also have a couple of Doubtfuls.
€500 @ 8/13 = a handy €308 to get a few pints at the weekend.

Rhode and Clara to ease in semis without getting out of 2nd gear.

And I think Shamrocks will prove too good for Ballycumber also.

Intermediate:
Raheen to ease past Doon
Shannonbridge to beat Rhode by a point in a dogfight
Clonbollogue to pip Durrow
Birr to surprise St Rynaghs by a couple!

According to a source from D'Island, Brian Connor is available to play tomorrow after appealing the red card he received against Rhode.

Anyway, here is my predictions for the weekend:

Tullamore vs Walsh Island - Tullamore

Ballycumber vs Shamrocks - Ballycumber

Ferbane vs Rhode - Rhode

Clara vs Tubber - Clara
