The master fixtures list was in last week's Tribune. That's the only place I've seen them tho - the Offaly GAA site would be the most obvious place to find them, I agree.

Hurling leagues start this weekend and as of 8pm on 01/03/10 theres not a dickie bird on the Official Offaly website about fixtures. I'd say its time to find that cow and have have another good look up there because whatever the chances are of finding information up there you defo won't find it on that poxy excuse for a website!

I don't intend to stop highlighting this. The league starts in 24hrs time in Ballinamere and still there isn't a mention on the offical Offaly website of league fixtures however theres up to date results of the Offaly Scor on the front page!! So you can find out how won the "Figure Dancing", "Ballad Group" and best "Novelty Act" but you can't find the fixtures for hurling matches. That my friends is one of the reasons we are going nowhere. Clearly the tools on the county board have more interest in dancing competitions than adult field sports. Yes I know the fixtures are in the paper and on radio and posted here but thats not the point. Someone mentioned that the county board should be giving out free passess to school kids for the Roscommon game in an effort to bring back the supporters, this is a great idea but alas the county board clearly have no interest in promoting our games at club or county level. Its a shame.

Have to agree with you on the website its the worse in the country, kk, cork, galway, dublin even laois have better site than offaly's. as for free ticket's that's
alright if your from tullamore how are kid's going to get to tullamore when there father won't bother his a..e going if he is outside tullamore its up to the father's to
bring his child to the game's.i suppose some father's would expect the GAA to run
a bus to bring the kid's now to game's nothing will change with the support offaly
get. we are the worst supporter's simple as.

As far as I know the kids are free in anyway under 14. It's publicising this is what is important.

I think the point of the free tickets for kids is to get more adults to go to matches.

Give the tickets to kids in school the Monday before a match and you can be guaranteed they'll spend every day between then and Sunday nagging the parents to bring them, the hope being that the parents give in and our attendance and income increase.

Guess it's back to Aertel since the Offaly County Board seem to have no intention updating the website again.
