I haven't followed all the episodes but I thought the final episode about Jennifer's weekend was good.
I read an interview with the writer where he said that the accents are all over the place in the series and that the Offaly accent is hard to do. Maybe it is hard to get right although 60,000 Offaly people have no problem!?
The writing & acting actually rang fairly true for me and I was interested in how it would turn out. There were a few glaringly bad scenes like the Dublin - Country confrontation outside the nightclub but most of it was fairly near the mark.
A few glimmers of hope for the "nice" characters and some loose ends hanging around for the next series.
I can't say it's put Offaly on the map since we were always there but it'll keep the craic going until we start winning All-Irelands again.
