It's incredible the negativity from parts of Offaly on Tullamore winning the county final this year.
I have talked to prominent people in most "traditional clubs" and the general feeling is how could
Tullamore win the county final. Things must be fair poor.
Tullamore won because they came together as a group and as a team they were closer and united
together than any other. They had a belief, a spirit and a will to win bigger than any other club in the county.
I think its great for Offaly hurling that Tullamore won. They also had a manager that believed in his players
and knew what he was doing.
There was 10,000 people at the final and if Tullamore can hopefully build on this at underage then it will
benefit Offaly hurling in the long run.
Congrats to all involved on a great achievement.

Here, here!
A great boost for hurling and it is great that the likes of Stephen Egan and James Keane are being looked at in an intercounty perspective now!
