Question?

Post by Loughers »

If we beat Dublin, is that that? Is it the bottom team in each group that play to see who's relegated, or are the 4 teams involved. I looked on the GAA website, but that piece of sh1t only goes on about the top 2 teams.

Relegation

All four teams are involved, so in one sense the Dublin game is meaningless.

Be no harm for them to get used to winning a game though.

Play Offs

Third in Group A plays fourth in Group B and vice versa, losers play each other.

Apparently McIntyre and the squad weren't aware of this until the weekend - thought they were finished after the Dublin game.

What is the point of this convoluted setup.
Every team has already had 3 games to avoid finishing bottom.
Now the Dublin game is meaningless as both teams will end up in a further playoff whatever the result.

Maybe the opportunity to win 2 games back to back is of some use, but after the league experience last year, anything is possible.

Presuming we beat Dublin and Laois beat Antrim, what are the chances of us facing a trip to Belfast? High, I'd say.
